So far, I agree...about 95% balls in online.
But, unlike other baseball games, I can usually read the pitches pretty well (in MLB2k8, it was near impossible for me to distinguish high/low balls and strikes, making online annoying when you get someone who throws nothing but high or low balls).
Just finished an online game, where I won 1-0. 5 total hits in the game. To ME, that was a GREAT game.
I actually feel accomplished when I take three straight balls and then smack the fourth for a hit.
As far as whether this game is worth 800 points?
I typically use a ratio of $3 an hour for me to get my monies worth out of a video game. Meaning, a normal game, being $60, if I don't think I can get 20 hours entertainment out of it...its a rental.
So far, I have played this game about 3 hours. So that's about $9 out of the $10 is cost. So to ME...yeah, it is worth 800 points.
Fun game, simple controls, real players, fun little card system (though, I will probably have all the cards in a day or so)
ONLY issue I foresee is lack of human opponents online about two weeks from now (but lets be honest, MOST Live Arcade games fizzle out in the multiplayer department after about 2 weeks to a month).
Bears, Bulls and Cubs through thick and thin.
