On ign.com it's says it's scheduled for a holiday release with November as an estimate.

hope there working on a better netcode for doom II,cause co-op would be good fun ,hope it comes soon all the recent xbla games have sucked :(

Awesome... But when does is it supposed to be released. Any news on a release date? Will it be strictly offline like Wolfenstein 3D or will it be like the first DOOM with Single-player and Multi-player?

DOOM II  NOW.............

Instead of seeing people say yipee,h e 11 yeah, yay,etc. and so forth to express a vain reply to the topic, how about a release date towards this game?

I'm hoping they do the Leaderboards in the same way they did with DukeNukem3D and have a True Skill system and have a seperates leaderboard type for that one as well- Multiplayer, have a Time Trial for Single Player and the Usual Points system like the 1st DOOM (Area %, Items %, & Enemies Kill %) . Hopefully there won't be as many quitters (Cowards) who can't take a beating like a child does. ^_^

Hopefully- Emphasis.

actually most people probably quit cause the way they rebuilt it was terrible for the network, it needs rebuilding for the port, i know its not entirely the network problem cause in games they can get simple tasks to send information or complex ones which may be easier on the server,etc....

I'm going to say it again: Anyone know about when a release date is going to be or around what month? And I was actually serious about a release date and the things i mentioned that they should improve on, i hope the developers take into consideration with it. I don't expect too much like a level editor or anything as mentioned from Cameron Townsend- though the thought of it would be nice.

Word on the street is that it should drop in the next couple months for the holidays, but I'll believe it when I see it. Basically, there is no official word yet on the release date. All we can do now is speculate and hope that there is truth to the claims of it coming this holiday season.

Anyhow, I'm gonna have to put my money on them just sticking with the same formula for the leaderboards. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised! I would hate to see yet another game where somebody bad is #1 in deathmatch just because they boost and/or have way too much time on their hands.

well doom is going to be out this year so i think its safe to say that doom is either coming novemeber or december because if it was october somebody would probably know by now, also the guy who think hes god u hvnt met me yet.lol

oh and those pc mod of dooms aren't doom, there well not doom so i'd rather keep to proper doom as it was when it was released

Ill be the first to tell u that yami will not only beat you but will own you. I was unstoppable at duke nukem along with my friend dereknukem and immortall. Not only did we lose to him we got owned hardcore to the point that we couldnt even kill him once he was that good. Doom is the same setup as duke nukem so im guessing he will [mod edit] you. Yami if u are up for a duke nukem match pm me i havent seen you on in awhie

duke nukem and doom is not the same, anyway carm down its just for the fun of it, duke is a just too fast on the 360, does my head in plus duke is more of a mouse, keyboard while doom is for people who usually play via keyboard on its own
