Re: Why isnt the Armory marketplace online working? Or is it, just no-one is on?
I bought my copy of TH from gamestop for 30$, maybe I got a ripoff? Not really in my opinion, but I'm taking it back tomorrow, just got bored with it. It could've had so much more to go with it I think. The guy at GS told me that SK was dead, apparently he was wrong, I'm excited to see a trilogy, if not; I'll live.

Pointless to argue over opinions, oh and I'm outlandish.

I like the IP, and think it has a hell of a lot of potential. Stuff like Diablo, Sacred 2, the original Fallouts are among my favorite kinds of game. I feel that Too Human squandered its potential on some extremely poor design choices. So I like the game, not the gameplay.

What about the gameplay is it you don't like?
im guessing its the twitchy controls, wave after wave after wave.......of enemies, 50 second long respawn, and the occasional bug. just my guess

Yep. I would say utterly dire controls. A pointlessly poor camera. An auto-lock on that is totally retarded. The absolutely abominable unskippable death scenes.

The thing is all of those things could have been fixed very easily during development if Dyack would have simply listened to the feedback he was getting rather than throwing massive tantrums every time he heard criticism. I feel very sorry for the people at Silicon Knights who really deserved better, as they have talent in abundance. Same *** happened to Fable 2 (working as a blacksmith to buy a house? I ask!) - when one man decides he will make the game according to his Grand Vision and lets his ego go out of control the resulting product is normally a catastrophic mockery of an abomination, which could be excellent but is made poor by virtue of idiotic design.

well, two opinions of people who did not like the game, I still wonder why you don't move on to play and talk about the games you like. What games do you like gozark? Perhaps, if i like any of those too, we could go to those forums and have a better and more positive talk.

It is simple - if I like a game I have less to say about it. If a game deserves praise then I am much better off doing it at the site of the actual game where the developers are much more likely to read it. I have joined official forums to offer my particular brand of caustic critique from time to time, and sometimes get welcomed for whatever brutally frank comments I make. Pretty often though a bunch of screaming fanboys show up and feel the need to 'defend' what they inevitably see as 'their' product. This also doesn't work in the case of auteur developers, who always throw a god-almighty hissy fit that you have dared find fault with their beloved Magnum Opus and blacklist your entire city from their forum IP list (See: Jeff Morris AKA Wartourist before Epic fired him). So I vent my spleen at general gamer sites. Destructoid, SG, and here.

The reason is I believe the more the gaming public actually discuss what they want to see in games the more likely it is to filter through to the developers. Just to make sure there is no misunderstanding here I don't consider the rest of the gaming public to want what I want, and to that end I invite and welcome civil disagreement with my points of view. It helps boil down issues and find out what is important and what isn't, and find out if there is a way to proceed that pleases everyone.

Games I like? Popular games... the Halo series (although I am less than impressed with ODST), and Saints Row. Less popular games... Sacred 2 and Dynasty Warriors. And some games lots of people detest and most haven't even heard of, like Bladestorm.

wow, not much in common i guess. I also like halo, i've played Halo CE on mac and Halo 3. Those are fun, thou, i'm not addicted to either. I think you can give your insights into the games you like and don't without been too harsh. I've been, here and in the sk forums, saying the things i love about too human but also those that need to be improved (and they need to for sure), but i try to say that in a more positive way (well, maybe that's because i enjoyed the game more than having issues with it). I think the only thing i can rant about is Twilight :) No hard feelings dude.

They can't just leave this game without DLC or discontinue it , I mean they left a fail ending for it which has pissed to many diehard fans off , I still see a lot of players playing it till this very day , if anything they should at least throw in DLC's for the game that continues off with the marketplace up and running , sounds better then just throwing a whole new disk out where you can't even use your character from the first game.

The IP!?!

The most redeeming factor about Too Human is the combat mechanics.  Yes, there are some annoying issues such as, but not limited to, the jerky PoV camera angles and the overly time consuming death sequence which should have been adjusted for co-op, but the gameplay is exactly what has garnered a fanbase amongst the players.

I think the control scheme was actually a great thing for the game play.  The real issue is that the camera freqeuntly presents views which are contrary to movement and/or the live action. But those who are bashing the two-stick controls can't recognize this is the soure of their frustration even though they are likely the types who probably use velcro shoes.  ;)

 The real issue is that

Dyack promised the world and delivered a pebble.  THAT is the real issue. SK cannot cut it.
