Re: Complete Need For Speed Most Wanted Guide

The theory has been laid out for you ... the only thing left is to practice.

Knowing the layout of the map and the route which you are going to use is essential. It is vital that you keep your ears open on the scanner to hear for possible strategies which will be used against you by the police while at the same time having your eyes peeled up ahead for problems to come.

It is not that difficult once you get the hang of it. Remember, that the Time Breaker is there for a reason, use it to swerve from unexpected hazards as well as giving your car that added push through roadblocks when you encounter them.

As I said, that is all that can be said. Try to keep on the highways listed.

Good luck.

No problems mate.

This Walkthrough covers the game in some detail. If you have problems with anything in the game and you cannot find an answer here, just send me a message either via Forums or Live and I will get back to you.

Re: Performance Classifications and Vehicles

One thing i would like to add:

Dont buy any cars until the Mustang GT is available. Then buy it. Continue to save your money. You really can use this car and win easily until you get to Ronnie (#3 on blacklist). (Also, trying to win the Gallardo from Ming is a good idea). Once you beat Ronnie, you should have a ton of money, if u saved it like i did. Go and buy a Carrera GT. Give it the best performance upgrades possible, and give it every unique upgrade you have (you should always get those after beating every blacklist racer) The Carrera GT is IMO the best car in the game, and once you have it completed maxed-out, the game should be a breeze from there. It was for me, and i've beaten the game several times, every time doing what i just told you. Getting the Carrera GT makes it alot easier.

The Lexus is a great car to start of with I believe. Just use it until you get either the Golf or the Supra from the Blacklist racers #15 and #13 respectively.

Re: Performance Classifications and Vehicles
I used the Supra and found it worked fine - and I have done that across multiple game saves. Since cash is unlimited in this game, do some races again, purchase the Mustang, purchase the Supra - upgrade them completely and find which one works best. Another little tip - when approaching corners, the best method is to slow down and drive out quickly. A few years back, I just used the speedbreaker and turned into each corner and slow-motion. Little did I know that reduced speed dramatically, so, if that is what you are doing now, best not rely on it and drive like you would if the game didn't have it (for cornering that is).

Ya the Supra is also really good. But in my experience (I've had both) the Mustang is better. But it's not a very big difference. They both can get you deep into the game.

Hey Anchorman Mazda, is the AI the same as NFS:Undercover?
And how long does it take to beat the game?

Re: Challenge Series and Achievements
The A.I. aren't too bad in this game - there isn't that problem of hitting a wall slightly and losing half your speed, but sometimes the A.I. will be difficult to beat/shake-off, but it adds to the challenge more than anything else I think. As for beating this game, if you rush through the Career Mode, you can get it done in two days (some people say five hours but I can't imagine sitting and playing a game for that long). If you want to finish all the Career it will take an extra day. There are the Reward Cards which will add quite a bit of time to the gameplay but because some of them are linked to racing online in Ranked and beating an EA Moderator, I'm certain you won't get it 100% anytime soon.

Until you get to the last area in the game, with the right car you can progress quite well if you use your crew members to assist you. Yes, as I said, there will be the odd fustrating moment but you look past it I guess (also, considering the game is cheap, it is alright for a casual racer to fill in time). When you do get to the last area you will face off with some competition until you get a decent enough car to match-up against them. If you are considering getting this game, best to read some reviews first to get a picture for the gameplay.

Anchorman being the racing guru you are, do you know if a Most Wanted 2 will ever be made? I would do just about anything to get my hands on that.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet. The only thing I can say with quite confidence is that we will never see Underground 3. Now, that isn't to say neither a U3 or Most Wanted 2-esque type game won't be seen from this franchise, its just that they won't appear under those titles. That said, the fans are always eager for a true sucessor to those two games, so we never know what will be released. If I hear anything, I'll post it here. I too would like to see a Most Wanted 2.

Re: Challenge Series and Achievements
Thanks for the great walkthrough! I  just got the last achievement today and it did help!

Also (SPOILER ALERT!)

Do you have any tips on how to get past the final chase (after winning the last race)?  I found that the BMW is not as good as my old car (the Lambo) and the cops wont get off my back!

Thanks

Good Luck and Good Gaming!

Spoiler Alert

You need to remain in the pursuit for five to six minutes. At that time, Mia will give you a phone call telling you that the construction set near the Rosewood Stadium has been cleared (off the highway). At this point, a small orange circle will appear on the mini-map. Drive to it, enter the now cleared road and hit enough speed off the ramp - success will follow. That's it.

Thanks!  I got far enough for Mia to give me the call, but I have never made it all the way to the orange circle.  Thanks for the help though, I will try and figure out a quick way to get there and just hang around that spot until she calls.

Good Gaming to You !

That's a good idea and it will help by having a direct route to the spot once you receive the call. Just to those who haven't gotten to this point already, the construction site is just behind the stadium in Rosewood off the highway.
