Re: Xbox Canada Community Birthday Party
One suggestion I have for the event, if possible, would be to have some classic Halo: Combat Evolved games going.

Some old style system linkage would bring back a lot of memories.

Re: Xbox Canada Community Birthday Party
That is a fantastic Idea. the original halo's MP was stellar. I dont know if I can pry my original xbox out of my family's hands though. (and i only have one controller for it anyhow!) ... if we can secure a couple of original consoles and controllers then this is totally doable though.

On that note, if anybody is bringing stuff, be sure to let us know. Especially if it needs to be set up or anything like that. Also if anybody wants a hotel room for the night, or will be traveling etc, be sure to let us know and maybe we can help organize things to make it easier.

If I come, I will be traveling in from Edmonton...

Also, a suggestion on the whole Halo thing, its avaliable  for download on GoD. I have it on my hard drive, so we would only need a few more people...plus, that way it would work with Xbox 360 controllers Wink [;)]

Correct, even if we can't get original Xbox consoles, the game disc or digital download should work just fine via Xbox 360's.

Sweet! Just need to look at flight prices...if its not too outrageous, I will start planning the trip. And $130 for a night isn't too bad...anybody wanna split the cost and go for the double? No promises yet...airfare is expensive this time of year.

Every time I fly east/west from Toronto to Alberta, it cost me 'round $600 return after it's all said and done. Taxes etc. make those $138 flights pretty much double.

Hey guys, just a reminder.
If you're planning on using the party rate for the hotel rooms, submitting your details sooner is better than later.

I live in Northern Ontario aswell. In the Timmins area actually. Only one thing though, how do I book a room and can I get a ride from someone? I'd pay for some of the gas and would be willing to share a room, two beds 'aight, and no funny business. By the way, how old do you have to be to go?

Sorry about the triple post(sorry, sorry). I don't think its worth going to Toronto for. I rather spend money on new games anyways. I don't even like Toronto. I think I'll jut stick to buying games instead. Sorry about all these posts again. Really sorry.

@VaderDFXB - If you're interested in coming just email me your details and I'll get a room booked for you. If you need to find someone to drive with, just check around the forums for anyone else coming from your area. We'd love to see as many community members out for the party as we can, but if you can't make it; we understand.

I won't be coming due to the fact some good games are coming out soon and I'll spend my money on those instead. If I could I would buy X3: Terran Conflict for my PC, also might be getting Empire Total War. And yes I'm a PC gamer first and foremost. Sorry guys. Have a good time though. Some-one get thier but kicked for me will ya. The reason for that is because I'm an awful multiplayer gamer.
