There is a release date. End of story. As has been said several times, it is on sale during the catalogue period which starts tomorrow. Im all for trying tomorrow, and probably will, but dont be getting your hopes up coz there is a release date.

like they care. i got fable 2 a week early ,was the first in aus to play it. also batman 3 days early, fifa 1 day early. all comes down to who you ask. look for the old guy in the corner who thinks Scrabble is a new game.

K-Mart were supposedly punished with a fine and were not allowed to sell Gears 2 when that was released, after certain stores broke the street date and sold Fable 2 early. I can't confirm anything about the fine, but i do know that one store (and it was one of the stores in Victoria which someone had scanned and posted the picture online here and other forums) still sold Gears of War 2 at the same time as everyone else!!!

So i'm not sure if the punishment where they weren't allowed to sell GOW 2 straight away, was serious - or just a PR exercise.

It wouldn't hurt to try and see if Big W did sell it early, i know it probably wouldn't result in us gamers leaving with a copy of the game a few days early. We'll have to go to ground and put up with many threads where the subject is "have they broken street date yet ? "

I doubt they even have their stock in yet. Unlike EB and Game, most places like Big W and Kmart seem to get their stock in pretty last minute. Well in my area anyway.

But if they do have stock there is always a chance. The multiplatform releases never seem to have the stickers on the packaging saying that the stock must not be displayed or sold before a certain date. From my experience, it's usually only the AAA Xbox releases that ever say that.

EB games Robina recorded the first street brake in Aus. look it up. The head of eb was at a microsoft show a the time Scott the manager there told him. keep looking
