I haven't played Gears 2 but I'm really just looking forward to horde mode and campaign because the multiplayer seems like it was noobed up to cater to more people. The walking, jogging, and roadie-running speed have been decreased, making the game a bit slow. It's also easier to chainsaw for some odd reason. Also, the executions look awesome!

Gears 1 Online > Gears 2 Online but I think that the Gears 2 campaign will be better than Gears 1.

That's cuz it is.

I <3 all of you guys supporting Gears1. I remember how much fun Gears1 brought me from Christmas 2006 until the pop dropped dramatically once halo 3 came out. Yes finding a game is still easy but I find myself playing with the same people very often. None the less if I grab a few friends and head online it's sure to be a blast.

I wish Epic would have shat out map packs for Gears1 like they did for 2.... we got two map packs whoop de do!

Yeah it's good to see a handful of people support Gears 1 multiplayer over Gears 2 BS multiplayer. Gears 2 campaign, horde mode, new additional weopons, and it's variety of executions was the bright spot, but it's multiplayer never came close to the fun I had with Gears 1. Also, Gears 2 graphics didnt look has good as the first, it looked kinda "cartoony". Anybody else agree?

I wouldn't say cartoony, but definitely more colorful.  I prefer the darker, grittier style of Gears 1, but the characters and environment in Gears 2 have a lot more detail.

They definitely don't stand out as much as the characters in Gears 1 did. Gears 2 characters - especially the Locust - look flat and without the depth/contrast that they did in Gears 2. Basically, the whole game has this problem. There is more color (which I don't care for) and more particle effects/debris floating around (doesn't do anything for me), but I'd much rather have the contrast, darkness, grittiness, and realism of Gears 1 graphics.

I've been banned about 4 times from their forums and basically gave up on ever going back to those forums.

A few of the bans were hardly downplaying Gears 2 at all while others were huge long rants about how much Gears of Fail 2 sucks.

If you two hate Gears 2 so much how come it's in your top 5 most played games?

If you dislike the game that much then why not just not play it and only bother with Gears 1 instead?

If was kind of a dull cliffhanger they left us on.... like what happens now? If Marcus's dad dies how do we hear him?

In a brandy games guide to Gears of War 1 it mentions Marcus saw General Raam kill his father and that's why he stares at him when they meet in Gears1, if his dad is still alive I'm gona be pretty mad.

I'll be pissed as well.

How can u say Firefight is better than Horde? IT IS HORDE! except it's got awesome drop ships comin' down and the enemies can drive vehicles, and you can also use vehicles, and stuff

I think horde has alot of flaws but not nearly as much as firefight. Shared lives blows and so does no matchmaking.

Its in my top 5 because I wanted to see if TU5 did anything to fix any of the major problems with the game. News flash - it didn't. I still got chainsawed by guys walking at me from 20ft away while I pumped shotty shots into them and unloaded into other guys when they weren't looking and got 0 damage points. Same ol' same ol'.

i could probably beat you in gears 2 but i can't do it cause i use the game as a coster. the game isn't worthy enough to be a coster

I decided to have a go of Gears 2 online today.
Played a game of Execution and did quite well with 7 kills and 1 death.
The second game not so well. The underdeveloped game engines decided to give ME host (making my Gamertag very wrong) and with both my brother on his PS3 and my dad on the computer, it lagged for everyone else.
I got a message half way through saying that 4 people were going to report me for "lag switching and modding my router."
Which they did, all because the game has such a sh*t multiplayer system.
Is the entire Gears 2 community whiny little homos or is this an isolated situation?

the number of people playing games or w/e on ur router doesnt matter, the connection is spread at full power in each of the router slots
