Infinity Ward doesn't own the Call of Duty name.  Acitivision does.  And besides, though IW may make a more cinematic game, Treyarch makes a better game in every other measurable way.

They ruined it by changing the setting. Ohhh Modern war, that's never been done before. That and the fact they made it more "accessible" to the children, ruined it for me.

i hate treyarch, their *** always feels ripd off, half quantum singularity'd etc, they are just so un original on so many levels, i will give them props on nazi zombies thats it, IW all the way, they know how to move with the times and innovate and deliver a bad quantum singularity story and multiplayer, full list of perks and weaps n stuff here Source

WWII is one war. Modern war games can take place during many conflicts, even fictional ones. I hope the next CoD is Desert Storm. I loved the Conflict:Desert Strom games on the PS2.

Exactly. There has been one every single year. It was originally supposed to be one every 2-3 years made by Infinity Ward alone but Activision got power/money hungry. They demanded a yearly release, Infinity Ward said "No, it takes more than one year to make a good game." So Activision went and hired Treyarch to alternate with Infinity Ward, so now we have a COD every year and I doubt that is going to change any time soon. Robert Bowling has actually repeated bashed Treyarch's Noah Heller -- called his a "senior super douche" on his blog.

Military games are getting quite boring, its not really the gameplay its more the enviroment. Your a marine/soldier kill this terrorist. Its dull after the 3rd of 4th game, WWII or modern warfare.

Psh...they borrowed the engine and they still couldn't make a great game(good though), sure they might have better map support and fixing glitches(mainly their glitches were much more obvious and in abundance), but they never fixed the spawning logic and the hit detector is terrible in that game, I mean I am aiming at someones chest and it counts as a headshot, shooting at someone's head and it registers as a regular hit. No, IW did a much better job than CoD:Waw.

1. I know, that does not mean they cant ruin it also.
2. IW being better than Treyarch is just your opinion, I think Treyarch is far better than IW,  and IW also makes COD to make money.

Treyarch was forced to use the MW engine by activision. IW ruined COD, and Treyarch was forced to follow.

I personally think Infinity Ward is better but I am too lazy to go into deep detail that explains why. It is my opinion, and that is all the matters to me. Throughout the years that I have been playing COD games, I have greatly enjoyed IW's CODs over Treyarch's.

Me too: too lazy, have liked IW over Treyarch. They seem more "polished" then Treyarch's games, not just how it looks but I mean they seem like they've just been worked on more.
