I sent a mail to the tech support team of backwards compatibility and I got replied by a developer. Here is what he said. I asked him that why did they added Rallisport Challenge that was older and not Midtown Madness 3.

I remember that before the PGR2 was released there were lots of people playing MM3. I was thinking of selling my MM3 because it was not BC but when I got replied I think it over again. But maybe many people are doing that because they don't know they are still chances of bringing it back.

So after 20 e-mails the BC team doesnt reply to me, but one e-mail from you and they do!!!! GRRR

I just bought a 360, and I want it so I can play midtown madness 3 on 360. I can't wait until microsoft make there updates!!

I was thinking today that MM4 would be the perfect Window vista/xbox 360 crossover game.  Just like Shadowrun will be. There is a large amount of Midtown fans that don't own an xbox or 360, that want it.  There is also a lot of MM3 fans that want it for 360.  being a driving game, It would be easy to have fair matches.  If they beef up the multiplayer and don't put much effort into the singleplayer, it will be a hit.

I dont think we need a new mm , test drive unlimited will fill its place perfectly. I went to play the full game yesterday at atari , and it is just awsome. The map is HUGE! There is tonnes to do offline , lots of cars , and puts a really big smile on your face. The same thing that made mm3 great, It put a smile on your face.

I'm sure TD:U is gonna be great, but unless it has Hunter, Tag, Stayaway and small cars like the Mini it'll never replace MM3.

I just can't imagine TD:U having the party play atmosphere that MM3 does.

Yeh , it has small cars like mini , no mini's because of the BMW license. Audi A3 golf R32 etc etc. And the online play will be great. For instance you can play with 16 other people at once. Join my clan if you want, were the second clan ever and im pretty good at the game , got to expert level yesterday, and i have a heads up on where everything is. But belive me , its going to be a very very good game.

Cant wait

I will look into Test drive, but i don't feel it will be as good as midtown.  For MM3 the game modes, online community and car selection made it so great.  It focuses on fun and not on being super race car driver guy that every racing game out has.  All you need to do is play hunter our capture the gold on tour class, and you will see why it is so great.

Can't they just abandon the backwards compatability and redefine the engine/graphics of MM3 for the 360 and just put it on Xbox Live Arcade????
