Have returned first wireless headset and gotten second wireless headset. Both headsets had same problems:

-Disconnections and shortened range-1

-Syncing problems (after trying correctly)

-The infamous "humming/buzzing"

I saw weird stuff in that place last night. Weird, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff. And I want in.

Re: Post if your WIRELESS headset is not working
Ya ... mine doesn't really work as expected either:

  • I'm getting the infamous humming.
  • My voice sounds kind of "squacky" to others sometimes.
  • Random disconnects / re-connects seem common-ish.
  • Range seems "ok" .. but I live in a one bedroom apartment

All and all ... BIG meh on this purchase.  I'm constantly thinking about the headset: "Can you guys hear me?"  "Is that noise me?"  "Am I buzzing again?"  "Sorry, I'll turn down my TV"  And constantly thinking about it is really annoying.

Re: Post if your WIRELESS headset is not working

Same issues....reports of humming.

The big one is the disconects for 5 sec and then reconects.

Please Microsoft respond to legitimise this problem and an ETA to fix it.

This is not how this should be.

Re: Post if your WIRELESS headset is not working

I voted already but I need to rant on this bs. EB won't take it back because I didn't notice the problem within 7 days (I work alot) and Microsoft will only send me new ones. Every single one will be the same and of Fing course they don't offer refunds. I have no option but to keep returning them until they get the Fing point. Fun!

Mine works perfectly.

Have you guys tried checking your house for interference..??  I mean wireless routers, cordless phones, Microwaves etc..  They all interfere with the signal..

I know at least 4 people with these and none have had any problems so it must be something unique to your locations..

Rich..

# 46 (I think!)

  • Disconnections and shortened range
  • Extreme feedback and sensitivity
  • Syncing problems (after trying correctly)
  • The infamous "humming/buzzing"
  •

  • The headset just launched in the UK today... what a dissapointment, to find it doesn't work!

Well exuse me for trying to be helpfull..

I guess you're resigned to the fact that MS is to blame and it couldn't possibly be something you're doing wrong...

O.k. just throw your new headset in the bin rather than finding out whats wrong..

Yeah, I don't own a microwave and don't have a wireless router.  The only electronic/wireless items on in my home are: the 360, a wireless controller or two and the wireless headset.  And the fridge I guess.

Seriously, that's it.  Not even any florescent/neon lights or anything.  Maybe my neighbors are causing the problems?

And in all honestly though, it's not that bad.  The only real problem is the humming, which seems to happen way too much.

I had disconnections every 5 minutes, it would not connect when I put it 2 in. away from my conosle, and it would reverberate and buzz constantly.
Here is the fix floating around the web and it worked for me.
    • Turn off the Xbox 360 Console and the Controller and the Wireless Headset.
    • Turn on the Xbox 360 Console only. *Important*
    • Then Once and only ONCE a profile is signed in *important* can you turn on the Wireless Headset.
    • Wait for the headset to configure to slot 1.
    • After that is done turn on the contoller and let it conigure to slot 1.
