This is the sub, just fitting into my car...

Got it into the house, partially unwrapped, and then hauled up the stairs.

View from the back.

Compared it to my old PSB sub, that used to do alright in the room.  Quite the size difference.

Got it slided into it's corner. With a Rockband Strat for size comparison.

Overall view of the new setup.

I'm still toying with the idea of keeping the PSB in the front right corner.  I'm going to play with some settings and see what kind of performance I get out of the MFW first, then try them both.

I didn't have much chance to dial it in, but I set the gain at about 1/3 and put on Finding Nemo.  At about 1:18 in, a young girl named Darla taps on a fish tank.  WOW.  The whole room just shook.  Pleasantly surprised at the lack of rattles, yet the impact of each hit was incredible.

Definitely give having both subs hooked up a try. But...don't get your hopes up. Sometimes, unless they're integrated properly, 2 subs can be more trouble than they're worth. They might actually cancel each other out.Surprise [:O] Or you could end up with bloated, muddy, boomy bass.Sad [:(]

Anyone running a single sub should be looking at room treatments (bass traps) and EQing. With 2 subs it's practically a necessity.

Anyway, nice sub!Yes [Y] Enjoy.
Let us know how things turn out.

It's not could of or should of.
It's could've or should've.
Learn the difference.

Lots more playing and tweaking to do, but I can tell this thing is going to be amazing.  If anyone is interested in picking one up... have a look here.

That's awesome dude.  I think you will be very impressed.  I know I'm very happy with mine.  Also that finish looks great.  Make sure you report back on your impressions.

I have a Samung 32" at 720p. I have a modified intercooler with sunon fans and custom fabricated ducting system that moves the hot exhaust air away from the xbox so it's not recycled thought the console.  Mine is a first edition xbox 360.  Runs cold to the touch with loads of hot exhaust moved away through the duct. No problems with overheating.  Discs come out at room temp and the xbox itself is very cool to the touch.  I found the sunon mod for the intercooler in the forums.  I recommend that anyone using an intercooler should try it.  Oh yeah, there's my Unreal Tournament faceplate that I got for preordering and my Turtle Beach Wireless headphones.  Yeah I don't sleep much LOL.

Here's my bedroom setup; not much compared to some of yours but it works well for me. Being young means I cant afford some of the stuff I'd really like; like surround sound, but I don't mind as the sound from the speakers I have are good enough for me :)

Currently how my setup is, recently wall mounted my TV and now need to buy some form of cable tidy.

Hi guys....... how is everyone?  I got a new entertainment unit a couple of weeks ago.  Scroll down to the third pic in my set up signature.  I was really scared about getting something that big for the room I have... but it worked out nicely.

It was hard picking a unit.  Wall mounting the tv or my center channel isn't an option because there is a picture window right where they need to go.  I really wanted a credenza styled unit but I just couldn't find one with a spot big enough for the center channel below the screen, so I had to go with one that had a shelf above the screen, for my center.  Finding one of those with a space big enough for the tv and the center was hard, but thankfully not impossible.  The one I picked is a 10' long monster but I think it turned out great.

It made me appreciate my DLP that much more because I can pull the screen all the way to the front edge of the unit. A LCD or plasma with a stand wouldn't have looked nearly as nice.

Sorry for the wide angle pic..... but the room is way to shallow to get a full frontal shot.

Wedging the center speaker down like that is a good idea. It really helps offset the problem with the center sounding separate from the L/R. Looking good.

Wow. Really , really nice change. Much more organized and classy looking. (not that your old setup was bad)

I wedged my center channel upwards too, with a rubber stop. Really helped with voices in movies and sports.
And those Rf 82's... I have the same set.  2 channel stereo sound incredible w/ those speakers. No need for a sub even.
Your rear surrounds are in the perfect spot. My setup doesn't permit that.

Good stuff.

Both. I had a forced name change about a year ago... and the lovely MS rep I spoke to about it advised me to change the E to a 3 so I did. Then a couple of months ago I got a 3 day suspension for having the following profile word for word

"Yes I am!

Really a woman
Really a ***
Really good
and some say really old... AARP say WHA?

Shadowrun!"

The word above that gets starred out by the filter system kind of rhymes with thespian.

After I got that suspension I figured I'd change my gamertag on my own before I got suspended for even longer than three days.

Toulouse however has publicly admitted that policy was misguided and that they are looking into ways to allow more freedom of expression.

On the second topic.... thanks guys! It is a really nice piece of furniture that pulls the room together nicely. The old one wasn't bad though for something I put together myself for under $50!

Please don't do that. That's one reason policies such as the one I was banned under exist.... because so many people are unable to behave maturely when they see such words. I'm sure you meant no offense, but statements like that are only harmful. Thank you.

Re: Post your AV Setups - Part 2
Hey guys, inspired by most of you and your set-up pics, I have decided to post mine here as well. I'm a huge audio enthusiest with a VERY small budget. I have , what I believe to be, a very decent quality low end system. This system took me about 2 years to piece together and It's been complete for about 2. The TV was my last purchase and quite an ironic story (ill post at the bottom). My living room is a bit small and because of window placement I had to mount my speakers much higher than where they are supposed to be. I am only renting this place so Modfing the room is out of the question. I have angled the speakers downword, that helped dramtically with the sound. All-in-all, I am very pleased with it. Those are old SMS Games in that shelf on the right and my xbox and misc old games on the left. had no room for movies.. those racks stay in a seprate room.

For the the system...The recever is strictly audio. All my devices are hoked to TV via HDMI. The Blu-Ray player is running seperate analog inputs in the receiver so I can get lossless audio. A receiver upgrade is in the future though. The sub at the end of the smaller couch use to be next to the tv but when I went bigger the sub would not fit and I had to move it to where it sits now. on top of sub s an enrgizer charging cradle for my 360 controllers.

My roomate has a PS3, we were both off one saturday and decided we wanted to watch Godfather on Blu-Ray. had a 52" JVC DILA hooked to all the audio equipment you see here. He brought his PS3 out of his room and I preceeded to hook it up. When I plugged the HDMI cable into the PS3 it sparked and caught on fire. The spark back-fed into my TV and I could nolonger get any picture on any input. The ps3 quit functioning at all. He had a warranty with Best Buy and took it there..they gave him a brand new ps3, nice. was shopping for a new TV now and didn't want to go smaller..No retailer around me carries anything bigger than a 50" lcd..I could've settled on that but matter of personal preferance..I dont lke lcd. Best Buy had some nice 60" sets on their website so I thought Id take a drive.. When I got there I didn't see any. I looked over all the tvs and had a salesman ask if he could help me.. So, i explained what I wanted and he appologized for not having anything on the floor but they did have a 60" dlp in back stll in the box. He explaned it was from the magnolia line of TVs and was ordered special for a customer who canceld the order after the tv arrived. They werent allowed to send it back and had to sell it but had no place on the floor. I asked how much for it and he did not know. He left to find out while I stood there and waited. I waited a good 20 minutes and the store manager walked by and asked if I had been helped? I explained to him what was going on and that he went in back to get a price..as i did this he shows up and proceeds to tell me that it was a 65" not a 60 and he could not locate a price.. the manager looked at him and asked him to look it up online. while he was doing this the manager told me that he had to get rid of it and what ever price he pulls up "we can work on" he said that the tv had been there for about 2 months now and needs to go. its still in box and never been opened. The salesman gives me a price and i told him I take the tv at a much lower price. to my suprise..the manager said ok, looked at the saleman and said make it happen and get him anything else he needs. I shook his hand and bought a tv much bigger than i was expecting at a price much lower than i expected. So the pics you see below are of this magnficant TV, which I love btw.
