um i have gotten my famous pinata off of my nephew Raresant is back into action
only problem being that my gold scrip runs out any day now, and i need to wait a couple weeks before i can get new one.

Months ago people were paranoid that their famous pinatas would be stolen...now you can't give them away.  Hah!

hey Fizz, send me your famous one and I'll add him to my garden of three others.  I want to make a "Famous" garden.  Have a syrupent, goomba and pigxea so far.

That is the epitome of why this achievement was poorly conceived.  And, a terrible idea.

i think it's a great idea and executed very well. the achievement description needed sorting though and maybe something in game should explain the process better.
anyway in the event i don't get any genuine interest it will go to the 1st guy that posted as he doesn't have the achievement.

Yes, partly it's silly that they worded it the way they did, considering there are "famous" pinatas and then there are famous pinatas.  That's confusing.

But more than that, I think the devs didn't realize that people would cling to these famous pinatas when the game was popular.  I suspect the motive was to get people trading, but nobody would give away a pinata given to them by the game developers -- they should have realized that.  Instead it turned a handful of people into achievement-givers, which obviously can't last.  Then people move on to newer games and suddenly those famous pinatas that people protected so fiercely are worth less than nothing.

They should have made the achievement viral.  They should have made it so that once you had the achievement, all your pinatas became famous.  That would have devalued famous pinatas enough so that people would be willing to give them away.  Instead they gave out a limited number of famous pinatas, and a year from now when absolutely nobody is willing to pop this disk into their console, some new VP:TIP player is going to be SOL because you'll all have moved onto Halo 4 or whatever.

i think you're being a bit cynical about the games lifespan and the attention span and/or dedication of those playing it.
i won't be buying any halo4 i can guarentee that lol

I assisted numerous people, and still receive request which i respond to as quickly as I can.  I have been sending out pinatas for loan recently and people have been very considerate to return them quickly once they get the chievo.

To clarify why the famous piñata is different, originally people where rewarded the piñata for clearing everything in the game "everything". I hope that makes sense to why this famous piñata is different .

To clarify further, I think the "famous" piñata were awarded much more arbitrarily than that.  (The devs were just giving them out to whoever caught their eye on the online forums, as I recall.)

Dude you're totally misunderstanding me.

I'm saying people should have been giving them away all along.  Instead they sat on them.  I'll bet 95% of famous pinatas are languishing on gardens that will never be visited again.
