is this game like zombies eat my neighbors?
It was supposed to be an homage to that classic. Monster Madness does have some qute & quirky moments; like the mention of the old Konami 30 man code & the A-Team van on one of the levels.
It's problem is that there's no saves except auto, the difficulty is hard regardless of the setting, getting the parts to upgrade your weapons is tedious bordering on laugh out loud ridiculous, the controls are unnecessarily complex & it's not meant to be played by one person. Playing it single player is a death sentence simply due to the difficulty, on that matter there is no online multiplay for story mode.
Hell, rather then restate the issues on this game take a gander at my IGN player review. The headline I wrote was, "Fun & Funny if you can get past the glitches." Incidentally, the XBL game that just came out,
Monster Rancher, is more of a ZaMN homege then
Monster Madness is.
That which is manmade has within it the seeds of its own destruction.
