I've created a couple maps that I'd now like to get rid of but I cant figure out how to delete them... any ideas? Thanks

They should appear as separate files in the dashboard memory manager - if you leave the game and manage memory from the dashboard, you should be able to delete the maps you want to, or put some on a memory card, or whatever.

exactly like he said, they are there own files in your memory, i deleted a bunch, lol.
