A general fun evening at
PlayersLounge is being organized by a small group of Halo Players, and will be held at the PlayersLounge, Stanmore on Saturday, May 24th.
Start time is 5pm running through to 11pm, giving you 6 solid hours of Halo3 fun-n-games. The event is being held by a small private group who have approached our site for some support. They are previous players that have been in hiding for a while, and have decided to come out of their darkened rooms and into the world, and get it together with some other Halo Fans
The evening will cost between $30 - $37.50 which includes a pizza at half time and as much playtime as you can fit in during the 6 hours. The evening will not be a tournament based gameplay, but simply some fun-n-games Teams Matches spread over 6 hours. A final costing has yet to be determined, but it will be between the figures mentioned above.
There "could" be some prizes on the evening, but nothing has been set in concrete about that aspect -- yet. We (XboxOZ360-game/x360.com.au) will no doubt supply 1 or 2 items somehow, not sure what or how yet.
They currently have around 10-12 people registered, and the maximum is 20 people on the evening to ensure everyone gets a fair share of the 360's there. If those who have been to one of the DarkLAN's in the past wants to go, I'm sure several of your other LAN buddies will attend and you'll be helping to support the local Xbox Community.
It's aimed again at simply having fun, putting faces to names and becoming more involved in the community at large. If anyone is interested, you can drop me or even DarkArmada a Forum/Live PM, and we can then forward you the email address to register.
Come on Sydney-siders, get together and have some fun with other Halo 3 fans, you'll enjoy yourselves. We'll be dropping a small notice up on the website later, so you'll be able to grab more details from there as well.
Plus, some of the guys coming are from within the industry, so you'll meet not only gamers, but perhaps a few people instrumental in getting games out to the players, be that from development houses or publishers or programmers. Great source of information and tit-bits.
Note: - Apparently they have 1or 2 people coming up from Melbourne for the evening, now that shows a level of support needed for such things, let's show them that Sydney-Siders can also mix it with the best.
