I'm trying very hard to see the Mandarian and I just don't think its possible to do though I could be wrong. Whirlwind seems like a very good choice along with Blizzard. Who do you all think would be good enemies for the next installments?

I agree. I doubt they'd do the Mandarin since they made the animated movie last summer with him as the main villian. As for next movie villians, Crimson Dynamo would be cool, but same concept with the bigger stronger guy in a suit. MODOK would be interesting in a movie.

I was thinking maybe something with Justin Hammer stealing from Stark Enterprises and sending in Spymaster, Blizzard, etc...


an Armor Wars kind of movie would be very cool but would probably be a better fit for Iron Man 3 :)

I think mandarin is possible. The Guy who was running the terrorist faction Ten Rings could become the mandarin. I mean his group was the TEN RINGS, Mandarin has Ten Rings...Anybody feeling my vibe? and to boot that guy has something against stark now. And yes, I know the first movie made it out like he was killed: but come on! you and I both know in superhero movies you have to see the baddie die!

Plus he had that one big ring that he kept flashing in front of the camera throughout the movie. They had to have been foreshadowing something there.

Maybe that one ring he has gives him the power of mind manipulation, which he used to start the Ten Rings, and in the sequel he finds the other nine.

hey no disrepsect but rather thn redirect people to another site why not just give ur opinions on who'd u like to see villian wise in the next iron man moves to come rather than what ign said i mean afterall this thread i made was specifally made for iron man fans to discuss who'd they like to see in the movies to come and not what ign thinks or wants.

I'm 95% sure it's gonna be the Mandarin in the sequel. I figure they'll make him more of a political leader/ terrorist than he was in the older comics, though. That whole "magic ring" thing really isn't gonna work in the context of the films.

They'll probably have War Machine come out too, in some form or another. They might not call him War Machine, but Rhodes will probably put on some armor at some point.

hmm i like ur idea of the mandarin, i can actually see that happening. you know what would be  a great transition is if it turns out the mandarin was somehow linked to the events that took place in the first iron man movie. but yeah that's a really great idea. yeah rhodes will put on the aromor i jsut wonder under what circumstances though. i'd like to see tony stark go a m.i.a and that makes rhodes put on a suit or something.

Title says "So who do you think some of the enemies will be for Iron Man 2 and 3 ?", sorry that I put a sites guess as to who they think and hints in the movie of who they could be and why. I thought it was quite interesting and figured other people would enjoy it as well.

Plus, most of their guesses and wishes are they same as everyones here.

You know what would be crazy, if they did the "Demon in a Bottle" storyline where Tony Stark becomes an all-out alcoholic and he has Rhodes put on the suit because he's too drunk to do it.

I seriously doubt they'd go there, but it would be something different.

yeah demon in a bottle lol i can totally see that happening. you know that was one of my favorite iron man stroylines of all time, the demon in the bottle storyline. i don't think they would ahve enough time to do that in the movie not unless at the very end of the movie tony is doing some mad drinking and hits pepper or something which causes rhodes to interfer and tony saids sum real messed up stuff and basically a fight breaks out between the two of them. maybe tony could say something like you think you can do a better job then me? go right ahead the armor's right there,get jarvis to help you. that would be a great scene and then tony exits. from there the movie could end on one heck of a cliffhanger. part 3 could open up with war machine coming to save the day while people are under the impression that he's iron man because of the similarity in armor's. yeah i can see it now LOL

i'd like to hear more of you all's ideas on villians and possible storylines for art 2 and 3 so please join in on the discussion and please be original. i know sometimes people like to post links and they send u to another site but i mainly set this thread up for people that have followed iron man for a while and discuss what they would like to see happen and not what a site has posted or what have you... its nothing personal, just had to get that out the way. thats the only time i'm gonna mention that now back to the topic at hand LOL

I would love to see them do what you just said, but it'll never happen for one reason: Marketing.

They just aren't gonna take a cash cow like this and portray him like that. If they ever do anything like Demon in a Bottle, it'll probably be a watered down version of it. I can guarantee you they're not gonna show him smack Pepper, lol.

thanks yeah i write and draw my own comic books and other stuff so i'm always writing and freestyling. yeah that could be a bit too hardcore for fans and could have a slight blacklash. its equilanent to smackdown smacking the heck out of lois lane or boxing her up even tho we would never see it happen. there would be such a huge upraor from parents,movie go'ers,the media, it would just be crazy. marvel wants to keep making cash off iron man,not see him get executed lol but yeah if they could do that storyline with that idea i had that would be one *** of a movie. u know if they don't do it maybe i should draw and write that...
