I completed about 5 games with 6 people in last night but never got the Block Party achievement.  Everyone else in the room got the achievement including my second account on the same 360 as me, although it didn't get it until the second game.

I just check, the second account didn't get it either, it was another achievement that unlocked.

 

I got mine ok.

Maybe it needs to be just you without a second acount, and five different people on live.

I tried that on the last attempt with no luck. 

I had also trouble staying connected to the matches until the end of the match,  all of which were the same host.  Maybe thats a contributing factor.

That's probably the problem, the achievement unlocks after the game has finished.

At first, I thought it was glitched for me too.  The description says, "Play with five people in one game."  I played in a couple of games with 5 ppl and it didn't unlock.  Then I played in a game with 6 total and it unlocked. Seems the description should say, "Play with five other people in one game."  Meh, minor detail, I know.

Sounds like yours was the connection problem to the host.  Maybe host a game with 6 ppl and see it you get it.

I just saw another post at a different website that said, "You can play a local 4 player game and have 2 join online to also receive "House Party" (I think he meant "Block Party").  So it looks like any combination will work as long as there's 6 total.

It didn't work with me hosting and guest accounts in the room,  the only thing left is to try hosting with 6 real accounts.

Perhaps you need to complete it with 6 people a few times?? I am still missing this Achievement (along with the 700 Q's) so i cannot say about that. However, with the Play 50 & Play 50 Online Achievements, i unlocked the 50 games played at 57 games (NOT 50) and the 50 Online Achievement after at @ 70 games (should have been around 56). So maybe it doesn't register some Achievements the first time around?? (Btw, all the other Achievements unlocked properly for me) It will be interesting to see if i can get this Achievement for myself - can't seem to find people online no matter what time of day/night i'm on...

My count is 9 times with my main account and 10 times with my alt with no achievement on either.   In a few of those games several others got the achievement.  

 

mine didnt unlock either, and everyone else in room got it... ugh

I think's it related to unlocking the 50 online games ach first.  I haven't seen anyone get block party after getting that one.

There isn't an update with the addon either.

I played this game today and there was an update. No idea what it fixed, but I don't recall there being one before. Maybe they fixed this glitch?

Apparently the host does not get the achievement. I just hosted a game with 6 different gold accounts and every other living soul in the game got the "block part" but me!

No, its not fixed by the title update.  Tried it when it came out.

Busted on me still no workie. WTF guys can't they fix it? I just wish I wouldn't get robbed another 200/200 you know fix it its a bug and FIX IT

Drives me nuts! I've got a couple other glitched games, but those a glitched for cause... Lost save file or whatever triggered some bug, etc. This one just seems to have glitched to tick us off! Sorry that session today didn't work out for any of us..
