Wits & Wagers Achievement Guide
by K4rn4ge

It's a very easy game but it may take a long time for a few of the achievements if you want to get 200/200. You can actually do almost all of the achievements online and with friends or random people. I've listed ways to make some of these tedious achievements (such as 50 games played and answering all 700 questions) a little less boring. Hope this helps!

Friendly
Play fifty games online. 25 G

Simply host a game and have a friend join. Change it from 6 player to 4 player by pressing X in the character select screen. You can basically just leave your game on and be away for hours and it will count as games being played (check the leaderboard for how many you have total). This goes a bit faster if you have a turbo controller but still works by letting the game play on its own. Also, don't fret if the achieve doesn't unlock right away- I got mine at 57 games played, and I've heard some people didn't unlock it until the 80's or 90's. However, this isn't a big deal since you need at least 100 games but probably ALOT more for the Super Wit Achievement where you must get each of the 700 questions in the game at least once.

Wits Fan
Play fifty games. 30 G

See "Friendly" achievement. Keep playing online as opposed to against all AI players.

Connected
Play with ten different people online. 20 G

You can do this achieve with random people or friends, it doesn't matter. I'm not sure if guests count but it won't be hard to find 10 people over all of the games you will play. If you get a full room of 6 human players which you need for the Block Party achievement, you are already more than halfway there.

Congeniality Award
Receive ten MVP awards. 20 G

Lets just say this achievement uses the acronym MVP very loosely. Usually, only one player can be the Most Valuable Player, but fortunately in this game, you can give an MVP medal to anyone in the game. If you are boosting with a full room of 6 human players, you can easily give everyone this achievement in just 2 games. Just have everyone give an MVP award to the same person so that player will get 5 in one game. Repeat one more time and thats 10.

Best Bet
Three correct bets in a single game. 25 G

Easy and no, they do not have to be consecutive bets as some people think. To make this achievement even easier (if you really want), simply have everyone pick the highest number as their answer and then you bet on the bottom option "LOW". You will always get a correct bet.

Small Favors
A correct bet on the lower than all bet. 20 G

Have everyone pick the highest number as their answer and then just choose the bottom option "LOW" and bet on it.

Block Party
Play with five people in one game. 20 G

Simply have a full room of SIX players. The achievement is worded in a weird way making it sound like you only need five players. You need 6 players, including yourself. Just join or invite your friends to get a full room. After you finish the match, you will get the achievement.

Body Movin'
Dance on every round. 10 G

All you have to do is simply wiggle the right control stick a tiny bit each round and after the game is over, you will get the achievement. It is really easier than it sounds. You DO NOT need to continuously press the right stick for the whole game.

My Favorite
Receive a MVP award. 5 G

After an online game finishes, you are at a screen where you are asked to vote for the player who made the game the most fun for you. If someone scrolls to your name and presses A, you will get 1 MVP medal.

House Party
Play with three friends on one Xbox 360 console. 5 G

It sucks that you may need to buy more controllers just for 5 gamerscore but hey, thats M$ for ya. Anyway, play with four people on one console locally or just plug in 4 controllers. After the game ends, you will get the achievement. Keep in mind that many types of controllers work for this game. Besides standard controllers, you can also use the Scene It Big Button Pad, Guitar Hero II and III controllers, and possibly the DDR mat but I'm not sure about the mat.

Go For Broke
Bet all chips on one answer. 5 G

Easiest achievement in the game that you will probably get in the first round of your first game. Pick any answer and just wager all of your chips on that same answer. You don't even have to be correct.

Super Wit
Answer all seven hundred questions of Wits & Wagers! 15 G

Technically, it is an easy achievement as you don't need any real skill since you don't even need to get the questions correct. However, for a mere 15 points, you need to play at the very least 100 (yet probably ALOT more) games just to see every one of the 700 answers. Luckily, you can just use leave your game on for hours while you are not there and it will count towards your achievement. If you use a turbo controller, games go a bit faster. See the 50 games played achievement for more info on this process. By the way, some people are at 300+ games played and still don't have the Super Wit achievement while someone else got lucky and received the achievement at around 160 games played. The game is supposed to have some feature where it knows to give you more new answers than repeats but I don't feel so confident that this feature is working correctly.

Great guide.

It really says alot about a game when you have to exploit it's user interface to get achievements that are completely unreasonable.

As for the long achievements, here is way that is a bit easier if you have 4 controllers (or even the big button controllers from Scene It!)

Go to start game, press 'Start' on another controller. Use the other 3 controllers to sign in as "Guest", which would look like "K4N4GE(1), K4N4GE(2),...etc".

Then go to quick match and hope there is no lobby in progress, then hit the 'x' button and now you have an entire room filled with your gamertag. No way of anyone else joining and giving negative feedback for non responsiveness. The Scene it controllers don't seem to run out of batteries as long as you are actually not pressing anything, and if your first controller is wired, it won't time out either.

Pretty much the same method as K4RN4GE posted, but since fewer modems are needed, there is a less likely chance of the game lagging out or anything, and also makes it so random gamers don't accidently join your session.

That's the one I used.  I don't have DDR2.  All you need to do is step on start to get the mat into the game, the timers will take care of the answers although stepping on A works.  Answers can be adjusted with the up down arrows.

Just a quick update, there is someone with 794 games played and no Super Wit achievement. Just to throw another number out there.

Anything is possible through he who gives you strength!

Using this method can you get the "Small Favors" achievement?  also, if I sign in 3 other gamertags, can I get the House Party achievement?  I'm going to try this all out, but can't at the moment.

You don't need to sign in four gametags, you can just sign in the other three controllers as guests for house party.

Small Favors just raise the answer to the highest number on all four controllers and bet on low.
