The one and sole reason: the combat. Its too damn random, sluggish, and laggy. An enemy will be a cake walk one time and the next he's throwing perfect counterattacks everytime while I'm pressing A to parry with the game not responding.

And don't tell me I don't like a challenge and that I'm some lazy gamer who gives up on difficult games. I enjoy a very hard game; but a very hard game that has fluid combat and consistent enemy difficulty and AI. Randomness just equals frustration, not harder difficulty.

Its always dissapointing playing a trial game, kinda liking it, only then regretting purchasing in later down the road...

Yah  I know, it sucks.

This is easily one of the most frustrating games I've played from the Arcade. The combat is just one reason. I will, however, continue until I 200/200 this.

maybe i can play it on my computer like some other XBLA gams in the future? i dont think i will spend 800 MS points on this one

Yah don't waste your money.

When I first got this game over a year ago I had lots of trouble with the combat too.  It's just a matter of learning how it works, you have to watch for when the guard swings his sword and then hit block.  I realize it seems tough, I had plenty of problems learning it, but now the combat seems almost too easy, I can just breeze through most guards.  Keep trying!

This game is phucking REEEEETARDED.

The combat is one worst jobs of game design in the history of gaming.

They simply do not give the gamer the tips necessary to learn the system wich leads to frustration and anger of dying in a way that seems completely arbitrary to the vast majority of gamers.

Telling you can press A to parry DOES NOT explain the combat system and does not help any tiny little bit. It actually makes things worse.

And you can search over the internet all you can but you will not find a single article or post explaining sucessfully the "logic" of the combat system.

you'll find a lot of people saying they mastered it and it's now too easy for them but curiously, besides their geniality of dominating this combat system they lack any communication skills that would eneable them to explain such combat systems.

For me this combat system is 90% based on randomness and completely destroyed any fun I was having with this game. If I could I would ask for my money back without blinking. I feel robbed of 800msp.

It's 100 % skill and 0 % luck. You only have to use parry all the time and watch the opponents animation. And when the time is right you hit him.
