LEVEL 100 - UNABLE TO MOO
Can you guys help me complete this level?

First, those balls of energy that fire curved shots. I know of only three ways to defeat them:
1. Kill them early
2. If they get to the rim, jump
3. Smart bomb, minimally effective. If they're close to the rim they don't work.

So how do you kill them when they're close to the rim but you have no more jumps left? Because shooting them doesn't seem to drive them back into the web. They're resistance is too strong to beat.

Second, those screaming lady mega-flower things. Huge flowers with big petals. They sprout up so damned fast. Any way to clear them off the web after they've fully grown? or do I have no other choice but to just wait for them to pop off?

Finally, the pair of pulsing things that scan the either end on the rims of the web and then lock in place firing an electric beam between them that you have to wait to get around. One I can deal with. Two is very annoying. But three? That's just too much.

How many minutes does it take you to clear this level?

I scored 2,270,000 some points and have no idea if I was even close to finished.

(1) is the correct answer. Their arrival line is white. Watch for it as they're much easer to kill when they're at the far end of the power zone.  Once they're up to 3/4 or so of the way up do (2) instead.

Screaming flowers just need to be dodged.  The second you hear them get out of the lane.

3 zappers means you're near to the end of the level,  it goes  something like:

wave 1: grunts - grap pods and bull without using them.  You need 5 or six.
wave 2: aggressive (i.e. shooting) rotors and boffins appear, kill them as soon as possible.
wave 3: 1st Zapper appears, then more boffins and screaming flowers
repeat 2 &3 until there are 3 zappers,
final wave: lots of rotors and boffins at once.

The main thing to watch out for is that you need to jump a lot, to avoid the boffins and rotors that get to the top, and screaming flowers can still get you while you're jumping.

Yeah really. You earn a lot of the achievements without even trying. How he managed to complete all 100 levels without picking up more achievements is beyond me.

Re: LEVEL 100 - UNABLE TO MOO
Okay, it has been 8-months and I have still not got past Level 100.  Now to be honest I haven't been playing SG much at all and have been focusing my attention on other games.  But I think that starting at level 100 to finish level 100 is going to be impossible for me.  I think I need to back up a few levels to earn extra lives, etc. to be well-equipped going into level 100.  Any recommendations on a good level to start at?

Start round 90, the mid 90s are easier; then 97 onwards gets very hard.

Use your A bomb rather than jumps to perserve pods - you're going for extra lives, not points.

If you can grab a pod on your way out of 99 so you have fast bullets on 100 that helps too.

KayAitch is right.. start around lvl 90 to get pods and extra lives. try not to use pods if you dont have to (use bombs) and collect as many as you can to get the extra life (6th pod)and then fast bullets (7th pod).  Fast bullets are key to making the later levels easier and can be obtained by collecting 7 pods or grabbing a pod when exiting a level.  The enemy that will give you problems on lvl 100 are the aggressive boffins (the spiky balls that shoot diagonally).  You need to try to kill them as soon as they appear on the board and since they can only be killed when moving horizonally this is where fast bullets save you.  Ok I lied, they can be killed by being pushed back off the board but it rarely happens and is not worth trying. Shoot your fast bullets diagonally to pick them off.

Level 100 has basically 3 (if i can remember correctly) waves and you can tell how close you are to finishing by the number of zappers there are on the rim.  The first wave is where you want to collect as many pods as you can (to get an extra life or fast bullets) and bull as many enemies as you can (again for the extra life).  Kill all boffins, flowers, and rotors as soon as they appear... good luck!
