Hey all, Chris from Gamerscore Blog - just wanted to let you know that Namco Bandai is aware of the issues with Mr. Driller.  They have updated the status information once again.  Although you guys in here likely know this, here's a NEW quip from Namco Bandai:

"Shortly after the release of the Xbox 360 LIVE Arcade exclusive title Mr.DRILLER Online, from Namco Bandai Games Inc., it came to our attention that there were problems with the online portion of the game. We have since fixed these issues and a free update is now available. Users will be prompted to download the title update when the game is launched while connected to Xbox LIVE.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."

Uh, ya, like it doesn't work.  I found this issue in less than 2 minutes, what sort of qc was done here?  Normally, I wouldn't complain, but since the title has "Online" in the name...

It was advertised as having two player local multiplayer. It doesn't have it. The fix they have for that is to call it a misprint and thank you for the money they stole.
Will they fix that?

The game patch is expected to be released at the end of May. This has just been stated on Namco's Japanese website:

Will it fix Local multiplayer?

I know they didn't say, but have you heard if they are going to improve the fact that the screen you are actually playing on (in between the left and right status and score info) is going to be in Hi-Def or "less fuzzy" like the sides of the screen?

Since they said that it should be patched by the end of May, I'll wait that long. But I'm still upset over the fact that it has any issues at all.

If I don't see anything by the end of May, then it's EECB time. ^_^

They only have a few days left till June.  I'm going to file a BBB complaint as well if this isn't resolved.

I haven't seen this games forum since release day.  If they still haven't fixed the problem that shows what a bad company they are.

It's been patched, finally.  And yes, seems to be playable online now (solo battle at least, have yet to try a tag battle.)

Yep! it's updated, but I can't find anybody playing. DAMN! if it's not one thing it's another. Where is everyone???

i usually manage to get into alot of games with jps and they actually stay in the room for over an hour. i even played in a room with 4 solo drillers, all the na drillers ive played against leave after 4 matches. if you can try to play around 10pm pst or later to catch them jp drillers!
