~ Complete Class Reward Guide - UPDATED FOR CONSOLE VERSION ~

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - Character Classes/Rewards

*credit to BattleWiki for most of the information for PC release*

*credit to Vintoks for information relevant to 360 release*

Introduction

Players can select one of five character classes to utilize within ET:QW to accomplish their goals, and each of these classes may obtain "rewards" by obtaining experience.  It should be noted that all rewards and experience disappear at the end of each "match".  So, for Objective and Stopwatch based gamemodes, players will not retain any rewards from one map to the next.  Playing online with the Campaign gamemode, which is a gamemode that spans THREE maps, is different in that it allows rewards to carry over from one map to the next.  However, all rewards and experience disappear at the end of the three map match.  Rewards are distributed based off experience gained in any of the 5 Class categories which include:

  1. Soldier / Aggressor
  2. Medic / Technician
  3. Engineer / Constructor
  4. Field Ops / Oppressor
  5. Covert Ops / Infiltrator

There are also three levels of experience to be gained for each class, combined with a set of rewards that is given out for each level gained.  The amount of experience required to gain a level increases as progress is made and players are awarded "stars" to signify the level gained.  At this time I do not know the exact amount of experience necessary to gain levels, or how much experience you gain for individual actions (If you come across this info, please PM me).  It has also been noted that the Light Weapons and Battle Sense category upgrades have been removed from the Console version, with their respective rewards combined into class upgrades.  In addition, I have not discovered information relevant to the Vehicles and their respective rewards as well.  PM's would be appreciated if you uncover this information so this guide can be updated!

Global Defense Force Classes And Respective Rewards:

Soldier

The Soldier's role is one of destruction.  With the ability to use HE Charges to complete objectives, an increased amount of health as well as having a bigger selection of weapons than other classes, the Soldier is an important and necessary addition to the battlefield.  The soldier's weapon layout includes the Assault Rifle, GMPG, Shotgun and the Rocket Launcher.  The following rewards can be unlocked:

  1. 1 Star Reward - Quicker targeting lock-on, Increased Sprint speed, Increased ammo
  2. 2 Star Reward - Increased heavy weapon ammo, Increased body armor, Additional grenade
  3. 3 Star Reward - Increase HE Charge placement speed, Regeneration

Field Ops

Players using the Field Ops class have the ability to call in airstrikes, deploy various long range artillery pieces, as well as being responsible for delivering extra ammo to teammates.  Field Ops have access to only the Assault Rifle weapon.  The following rewards can be unlocked:

Probably the most important defensive class and also responsible for completing construct/repair objectives.  Engineers can deploy various turrets, lay down landmines, and also are the only ones capable of disarming enemy charges on defense objectives.  Engineers have access to the Assault Rifle and also the Shotgun.  The following rewards can be unlocked:

  2. 2 Star Reward - Increased repair speed, Increased body armor, Additional grenade
  3. 3 Star Reward - Increased contruct/disarm speed, Regeneration, Akimbo pistols

Covert Ops

A useful class with a large variety of abilities.  Covert Ops players can disable vehicles and turrest with EMP grenades, deploy a radar, deploy a Third Eye Camera, use Smoke grenades, backstab enemies with a knife and also assume the identity of enemies (disguise) to sneak into bases.  Covert Ops players are also responsible for completing objectives requiring electronic hacking.  Covert Ops players have access to the Sniper Rifle and Scoped Assault Rifle weapons.  The following rewards can be unlocked:

  1. 1 Star Reward - Silenced Machine Pistol unlocked, Increased Sprint speed, Increased ammo
  2. 2 Star Reward - Radar upgrade, Increased body armor, Additional grenade
  3. 3 Star Reward - Personal radar jammer, Regeneration

Medic

Another very important class in ET:QW, the Medic is able to revive fallen teammates as well as deliver health packs when needed.  The Medic has access to either the Assault Rifle or the Shotgun.  The following rewards can be unlocked:

  1. 1 Star Reward - Medpacks heal more, Sprint speed increased, Increased ammo
  2. 2 Star Reward - Increased Medpack drop count, Increased body armor, Additional grenade

Yeah, I included that in there Vintoks and made sure to give you credit for digging up the relevant 360 information as well.  I like to make sure credit is given where needed.  :)

Cheers again.  Yes [Y]

Re: ~ Complete Class Reward Guide - UPDATED FOR CONSOLE VERSION ~
little addition to this. i dunno if its a glitch or something, but if you get level 3 with a soldier, it gives all the other classes  except for the infiltrator dual pistols. dunno if this happens online since i never got level 3 with a soldier online, but thats what happens in campaign.
it might not happen to the medic either, not sure though. by the time i remembered to check the match ended and it was the last map of the area so all the upgrades went poof

Lets do this.
console number 4. 2/20/08 how long will it work? nobody knows.

Yea you can unlock the 3rd star dual pistols reward and then use them on any of the classes that can use the pistol, even if you don't have any experience in the new class you switched to. You can also stack grenades and ammo rewards by accumulating stars in several different classes.
