Considering its just a better Smash Tv (witch many gamers consider a classic).

Also the newest Arcade game from Capcom is just Monster Madness with less achievments.... There both the same price to lol...

i actually got my copy for $8. CC had a sale some time ago. i got 1 achievement for it. let it pile up dust. boosted the MP achieves (not all and still need help), and decided to try the adventure mode again. got the 'Did Someone Order Chinese' achieve today (with wifey helping out. she hated the game btw). its an okay game. i like it. kinda. sorta.

You can like any game doesnt mean you have to love it.

By the way your wife probably hated it because of the confusing co-op camera.... The games much better on one player (although i can't seem to beat anything but childs play). All in all i can say that its decent for all the monster cameos and easy story achievments.... Plus upgrading weapons is pretty fun.

yeah, it was the camera that annoyed her. she said she didn't know where she was at or what was going on. i got 'Prowler On The Roof' last night. took about an hour.

I have yet to get Prowler on the Roof and believe me i've tried.

I re bought it for $3 dollars at eb games and if any one needs help with the online achievements ill be glade to help out.

So is it worth getting? I have been looking for a decent online game for a while so is this my cure for bordom online as well as single player???

NO. I paid nothing for this game (got it free with 2 other games) and felt ripped off. The game is buggy, embarassingly designed, and unquestionably one of the hardest games ever created. If you just LOVE challenge, this may be your game, but you should probably seek help first. The online isn't quite as bad, but it's completely dead. The only people you have any chance of seeing are people boosting for achievements. And speaking of achievements... This is one of the HARDEST ACHIEVEMENT GAMES EVER. The world average is 27/1000, and it shows. I finished this game (30 points are glitched) and I can safely say it's not worth it. Though if you shut your brain off you may find some enjoyment here for an hour or so, but it's just not worth it. However I did play the PS3 version lately, and it's nowhere near as bad. If you have to play this game, get it for PS3 instead.

i paid $60 for it when it was still new and thought it was worth it. i enjoyed it quite a bit, very old school, some good humor, classic monsters, fairly solid gameplay. sure, it has some bugs but i never encountered any that were particularly game-breaking. im sure you can fint it for around $10 new now, definitely worth it at that price. you did mention you were looking for a decent online game though, the multiplayer on here is basically dead, if all youre looking for is online id give it a pass.

Oh achievements or not, this game is attrocious. I'm just saying that obtaining the full, non-glitched 970 (unless you are me :P) is impossible. The game itself is still full of bugs, (the fact you had no gamebreakers baffles me... i had full on crashes and random things, like my torso stuck in the floor) camera and control issues, awful voice acting and stereotypes, among other thing. If you enjoyed it, that's fine... i had mild fun when i turned my brain off and played this. But if you actually think it was worth 60$, you should be institutionalized.

i think that was part of its charm, it was supposed to be a cheesy monster game and honestly id be disappointed with anything more. my main complaint with the game would be with the poor vehicle sequences, but thats generally my complaint with any game, very few seem to do vehicles well.
