I can't keep connected to Halo 3 online games. I get to the screen where it shows all the players are found then within seconds I get booted to the Matchmaking screen again. Any Help Would Be Appreciated!

I have the same issue with cod 4 i have a dlink  WBR-1310 and ports are open, i DMZ to my xbox 's IP and i still cant connect some times, verrrrrry frustrating.

For some reason every time I try connecting to live it'll seem like it goes through but then all the blades just say they're loading I'll get kicked off. Anybody else ever experience something like that?

my nat failed and i'm using a gateway,is there anything i can do to fix this?

I WANT TO ACTUALLY PLAY LIVE!! i want to experience xboxlive at its fullest but i cant get a freakin fast enough connection through ANY ISP!!!!! even local state isps..... alaska is one mean mofo to live wid...well rural alaska, this shouldnt be a problem imo, I WANT TO CONNECT TO LIVE! pls live...vouch for faster services in alaska regions!!!! haha.....thats a dream that wont happen till im too old wid arthritis to handle a controller :(

okay so i bought my wireless adaptor and on the back it lights up red. even worse is i can not pass the wireless network test. it says im not connected. and gives me an error code of: w:0000 - 0000 x:8000 - 0011 y:0000 - 0000 z:0000 - 0000 What the f do i do please help??

Yea if your PC gets internet wirelessly and the ethernet port is unused you can bridge the new LAN connection from the 360 and PC to the wireless connection on the PC.

I could need some help, to be honest. I just got Xbox Live, and I'm having some troubles with it. I've got a gold membership, and I know my internet connection at the Xbox works since I'm able to interact with people on Messenger. Though I can't play multiplayer games like Halo 3 on Xbox Live, for some reason. I can't invite people to a game, I can't get invited, I can't join the matchmaking system. Is there some registration needed by parents or something since I'm under the age of 18?

Help appreciated.

-check your parental settings (in the the last blade on the dashboard) if thats all fine then....
-run an xbox live test...is your NAT open?

I'm thinking of going wireless with my DSL service.  I have 2 Xbox 360's and a PC all in seperate rooms.  A friend recommends buying only one wireless network adapter for the 360 in one of the bedrooms and hooking up the other directly to the router with the ethernet cable and buying a separate wireless network adapter for my PC because they are cheaper for the PC.  This set-up works for me, because the router will be a few feet from the 360 in my living room, while the other 360 and my PC are located in separate rooms in the house.  BUT, would this set up technically work, or am I obligated to purchase a network adapter for each 360 console?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try making a phone call to your local state representative.  Or better yet, write the governor :) .  Microsoft isn't going to do much about forcing utilities to upgrade hardware or services.  Sorry dude, I feel your pain.

Yes sounds like it SHOULD work ok.  But I've heard bad news for people that want to run more than one 360 through a router at the same time.  In general it doesn't happen because of bandwidth limitations.  So technically, you could connect both but you will probably only be able to run one Xbox at a time.

PS: I am assuming you  have or are getting a WIRELESS router, correct?

I will be receiving the wireless gateway directly from ATT.  I don't think I'll have a problem running multiple connections at the same time.  We normally go on Live on both Xbox's while somebody uses the internet on the PC all at the same time without any problems or lag.  We do this using the regular DSL 2 wire gateway, but it's been acting up lately (power cable), so I might as well upgrade to a wireless one.

Hey, I've been trying to connect to live for 2 days now, I've gotten lots of errors but finally get through the test with no errors now. But I still cannot connect to Live.... what the ***? Anybody have any idea why?

I've got the 360 connected to my computer which has wireless capability. Finally successfully got connection sharing working with all the correct inputs and junk... it took alot of work, I also just went down and bought a new usb  wireless adapter that works alot better than my old one... but I still can't friggin connect!!!  Help please.

To find your WEP "key" please go to your PC and load the configuration software for your Belkin N router. Within its menu you shound find an option for security and within there you should find the details on your security key.

In response to your other comments: If you are using a Belkin N router, make sure you are using an A, B, or G network but not N as Xbox Live does not currently support an N wireless network. Also, the Xbox 360 does support "passphrases" if you had a network that was secured with a WPA wireless security setting.

Psycho i got the exact same problem and when i scan everything passes but when i try and play cod4 or halo it says i cannot connect to the halo server and when i play cod4 it just says "Loading game settings... and it keeps going for ever. Does having Xplorer net as my internet have anything to do with it cause i can to a direct connection from my 360 to the Lan wire but it still does this. help please lol!

well my problem is when i had my old computer i was able to connect to live now i bought a new one and my live isnt workin I also bought a new ethernet cable i connected my 360 to the modem i also put my new ip adress and everything els but the ppoe because i dont see that on my computer but anyway when i run my troubleshoot test it says network adapter is disconnected i tried everything restarting the modem and takin out the usb from my modem and everything i dont understand why its not working can someone please help me

Ok i have a bad problem here, i can't get back on xbox live, over the weekend i moved into my new room, i got a new computer, and moved my xbox 360 aswell. The thing is that whenever i try to get on xbox live i test my xbox live connection, i get all the way to MTU and then it (mtu) fails the error codes are:

W 0000-000B

X 0001-8005

Y 0000-0000

Z 0000-0000

Can somebody please assist me in solving this problem and getting back on xbox live?

Basically means the service is down/Terrible performance.

It has been down for me,And i get signed out after every 10 minutes...but for now,i can play.

Halo3 online doesnt work though.

I've got the exact same thing. Everything passes its tests, but refuses to connect to Live. I've done all the stupid things, resent HD, NAT is open, recovered Gamertag, upluged and reset everything, still doesn't work.

The odd thing, took my Xbox to buddy's place, and it worked flawlessly on his wireless, brought it back home, and doesn't work again. Which is odd, cause it worked just fine for the last 6 months.

When is Microsoft going to admit the problem is in their "update" and not on out end?

i have tried numerous times to connect but i cant get past the ip address and i dont know what to do. I have a router but im not tryin to connect while still using the router im tryin to connect straight from the modem can you please help me and tell me what to do i tried to put it in manually but i cant find my ip address, subnet mask or gateway address. IS there any solutions can someone please help me i really bought this xbox 360 for the online gameplay but yet have i got to experience it would greatly appreciate the help. Please help me and tell me there is a solution to my problem. Thanks again

im not sure if this is right spot but i fail the mtu test for the live connection once in a while and it gets kind of annoying. im not sure what is wrong becuase i only fail this test once in a while and i also dont know how to fix it.

It could be many things, if it only happens once in a while I wouldn't got changing anything though :- MTU Failed

I get online and my modem just restarts itself, kicking me from the game, and then most of the time never fully resets and gets stuck on the SEND/RECIEVE blips even though I clearly have been sending and recieveing.......! ANGRY FACE!

Just based on what you said if its restarting and not preforming how it should you may want to give your ISP a ring and see if a newer device is availible.
