What is the point?

This game doesn't seem to have any point or challenge to it. I tried the demo and I must say this has got to be one of the lamest games I have ever played. When are they going to start releasing some decent games in the arcade. There hasn't been much of anything worth buying in a long time. Looking at the amount of posts on this thread shows that there is very little intrest in this game. Please arcade gods bring us something worth buying. If you can't do that then tell me how to get games in the arcade because if people are paying for this I can produce some real crap also. I could sure use the money. I can make Hangman for 800 points or how about Tic-Tac-Toe I think i might have to charge 1200 points for that one then sell different color game boards for 400 points each.

I know some people are going to flame me for this post and defend the game and that is cool but you have to admit that there hasn't been many good arcade releases lately even if you like this game.

I worked on the game and I won't flame you.  Everyone has their own preference for games and I completely respect that.  We worked to create a game that we really liked in the hopes that other people might like it to, sorry you weren't one of the those people.  The game is definitely more of an action movie type of experience, some people like those popcorn movies where they get their couple hours of fun and walk away satisfied, and others are looking for a deeper experience from a full retail game.   I'm sure you'll find something on XBLA in the future you like.

Re: What is the point?
Your asking not to flame in a post full of flames itself, strange.. Anyway if you wasn't just being sarcastic and truly are interested in creating your own arcade games look into XNA creators club. I think you will find creating a arcade worthy game will be a bit more difficult than you first think. I do think many arcade games could sell better at a lower price point, but part of the problem is that Microsoft should offer developers more options than 400 or 800 MS points.

Re: What is the point?

First off I never asked for people not to flame me. If you had read the post you would have read

"I know some people are going to flame me for this post and defend the game and that is cool"

I have no problem with people defending the game or flaming me over what I said. BTW I am one of those people who enjoy a good action movie. I loved the AVP movies even though a lot of people said they had no point but at least they had some good special effect and conceptual alien technology. I respect that you can make a game like this and make money on it. I also think that 800 points for a game like this is asking way too much.

I would be very curious to know what the sales are on this game.

I sincerely doubt you worked on the game....if you did, you'd have a "D" as you CUL.

Well to add to that anybody who worked on the game should have it in their achievement list even if he were to have 0 in the game it would at least make it look more valid that he worked on it.

Again not always so. Some time back before Developers started posting alot in the forums someone from Raven posted about the delay in the MUA expansion pack. I thought the same as you because the game was out for ages and his GG as under 250 on it, and also had a 1 or 2 as CUL rather than a "D". Turned out I was wrong he was actually pretty high up in the company. I stuck my foot deep into my mouth that day. Often developers play the game so much during production they don't care to play it any more after it is out. Most of the time they play the games they made is A) to test online aspects of the game over live or B) As a favor to fans/ guage fan reactions to the game. BTW I'm 99.8% sure he is a developer for the game.
