I had this game and thought it to be the worst in the series.

 

It is the same as all the other TH games but the frame rate is not constant enough.

 

I believe SKATE is supposed to be better.

yeah i played skate it looks great but the controllers are kinda difficult

My bad it got this game confused with TH Project 8.

Project 8 and Proving grounds are both amazing games. If you like tony hawks games you should like those. Project 8 is far more difficult and better than proving grounds though IMO

If you're deciding between project 8 and proving ground... pick project 8.

i just rented this game and it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! uh idk what happed with tony??!!!  this game honestly sucks seriously,  first off you only get to choose between 3 players, which are allll men....the achievement are RETARDO!!!!!! everything is comple all gaps.  complete all this and that so yea, achievements are HORRIBLE!  and thr game play is sh!ttackluar ...i put this game in and within 10 minutes of playing i couldent take it anymore.... thank GOD i rented it and did not waist like 50 bucks... anyway i would go with project 8. even tho i did not care for that game either but its 10000000000000 times better

i bought it a few days ago and have only played it once kinda regret the purchase

This is the only game I don't own in the series,well apart from the first one which was sold on me without me knowing   =(   Grrr.I want Proving Ground although people say it's quite bad.Atm,I can't afford it....even though it's been out a *** of a long time.

I think a lot of people don't like the game due to it's difficulty. I don't think it's as good as project 8 but it's pretty close. All the new goals are fun too. Lot's of difficult stuff especially if your new to the game. This game took me longer to complete than project 8 although I would say p8 is still the most difficult. This game as a lot more to do. I would get it, I paid £25 for mine a while back and never regretted it.

i got it yesterday and im loving it only got it to hold me over for skate 2 though cuz skate imo is the far better game once u get use to the controls cuz it is more sim style. only problem with skate was it was an EA product so of course it had some online issues. and no im not a fanboy or nething like that of skate i have been playing the tony hawk series since tony hawk 1 for the n64. tony hawk games are always fun but if u want a more realistic game like i do then skate is the better choice. as for proving ground compaired to project 8 i would go with proving ground i find the story to be more fun.

^ Yea, that's right. P8 didn't really have a story. It was just get to the number 1 spot. Be the best. Proving grounds as a bit more depth to it. I'm not really one for realistic games. I prefer hawks more than skate im a hawky!

You can't, the only time you can play as a pro is through the classics machines. I think there is a glitch with the warehouse that let's you be a pro. I don't know it but i've seen people talk about it on here.

I think the tony hawk series died at thug1. that was an epic game.

I don't think that's true, project 8 is one of the best. I think the difference is. The newer ones are sandbox whereas the earlier's are levels. I prefer seperate levels :)
