Re: wow...really?

I am a crossword fan, and I agree with him.  Horrible controls and no Chatpad support makes this game as bad as "D is for 'Disconnected' Dodgeball" and "Evil Alliance's Personal Information Collection Tool".

And yes, this is E3 week - this is when we're supposed to be WOWED by something.  So far, the only things I'm WOWED about is how this is by far the worst XBLA week ever and by how in a few short months all the themes I've accumulated will apparently be obsolete.  - ZM

Re: wow...really?
I love crosswords, but this is a spectacularly awful game.  The letter input interface is horribly slow, and it disappears every time you get a correct answer (even if you're trying to input another word).  I tried the first "Super Easy" puzzle twice, and both times ran out of time before I could finish the puzzle, even though I knew all the answers.  I can't imagine how you could even finish the harder puzzles in the time limit.  You can play in the "Time Attack" mode where the clock keeps track of your time rather than giving a limit, but you're still stuck with the awful interface.  Add to that the lack of puzzles (CrossworDS for the DS has 1000 and is only $20) and you have one awful game.

I concur! I plugged in my chatpad thinking "of course it will work. what moron would completely ignore this simple way to input text into a game which is all about making words." This game stinks! I even paid for it in full thinking I couldnt be disappointed being how much I like crossword puzzles. I got duped again! :(

Did you dl the full game and still run out of time?  I'm hoping the time limit on normal challenge is only because it's the demo and they are only giving you a certain amount of time.

I should have visited this forum early before I went ahead and purchased this game. HOW COULD THEY NOT ENABLE THE CHATPAD?

Either the demo has a silly time limit (it should limit the number of puzzles, not the amount of time you have to solve them, duhr...), or you're really bad at this - I suspect it's the former :) - because in the full version, the time limit for each puzzle is an hour and a half.  You could probably solve a puzzle in that amount of time by just systematically guessing at each individual letter.  - ZM
