I just realized I can use a wireless USB keyboard for text input in this game.  Only thing is, I can't find a button that will substitute as the blue x button on the controller to switch from across to down.  Anyone know how to do this, or are we stuck using the controller for this one feature while playing?  Thanks.

nevermind...after playing a little I realize you need to use the arrow keys to move to the next spot anyway so it doesnt matter if you have across or down highlighted when using the keyboard. 

 

I can't believe they couldn't come up with a decent control scheme considering that is the main gameplay element to this.  It is sad.  I heard the messenger kit doesn't even work correctly, which is a shame since that would be the most viable option.  That is if you already own one, cause I don't think people are going to buy one just to play this game with it.  You never know though.

Yeah, I hit every key on the keyboard and couldn't find anything.  They should have a key (i.e. TAB) to jump to the next clue, another one (SPACE/ENTER?) to change Across/Down, and make the cursor auto-advance when you type.  I think that would make the game much, much better.  As it is, I'm not sure I'm going to buy it.
