Re: is this game worth buying?
Yes it's worth it if you are a serious Japanese game junky sort of like me. But then again, have you found the $10.00 one it's brand new and cheaper. Don't base bad games on the ratings they get you have to actually play the game to see if you do really like it. And yes I love the A.C. franchise, too bad though I sold A.C.4 . Then got N.G.II. it's a great game you should try it! :)  Be 4 I end this post, do you go to se7ensins??

Re: is this game worth buying?
What he said! but yes, it plays differently than most of the mech games that are currently on the U.S. market. Think of a game that is like a cross between "Ikaruga" and "Zone of the Enders" (V.S. mode) and that is what you can expect from this game.

I bought it for ten bucks new and regret it.  Its always worth 20 cents though.  Save the $9.80 and buy it used.

Looking at the list of games you've played, I can see why you don't like it. You don't play shmup games. Or japanese games for that matter.

There is. It's just that most of the good players play really late at night/really early in the morning on weekends.  There's also this group : http://www.youtube.com/group/wartech

True!True! Stayed up at around 12:00-6:00a.m central (mostly around 6:00a.m). Geez what a crowd I picked up so many matches. Was pretty sweet though cuz I got a random friend request.Stick out tongue [:P] What even freaked me out more was some guy in Korea, he had like friggin 6500+ matches (wins and loses). Wtf, it's possible?! And yes I got destroyed. Got my points up pretty fast after that match. Too bad I didn't win though.Sad [:(]

Playing a bunch of Doujin shumps can help you skills in this game, Touhou Project being one of em.

Totally, it combines SHMUP Action with Fighter, which really gives double points for popularity.

Touhou
The key thing is to follow the pattern in Danmaku games, Imperishable night includes 4 teams of 2 characters, in Gensokyo, there is a festival going around, however, someone has stolen the moon with a fake moon which can never become full, therefore, the characters must freeze time in order to get the moon back from whoever is responsible for it, it is really a good game which is worth getting, which I could not live without it

Re: Touhou
Was thinking of getting this game.

Is the voice acting in jap or english?
If jap, will there be subtitles?

Is this game hard to learn?

What about the achievements?
Are they easy or difficult?

Also does online lag?

Last but least, does this game allow 2 player VS mode locally on the same Xbox?

Voices are Japanese-only.
Everything is subtitled.

It will take you a while to learn to play it properly.

Achievemets are easy to get, but can be time-consuming.

As long as you play with people that have decent ping, it shouldn't lag. I'm in the west coast of the US, and I can play with most people in Japan/Europe without any lag.

Yes, there is both local and online VS modes.

Lol ok I guess I can try this game.
Its the one of the only SHUMPs with a VS mode right?

No Co-op right?

Also I noticed you had 1000 gold for that game.
If I play with you, will I be thrashed horribly? ROFL.

Of course I will try to get used to the game first. =P

one of the few yes, the only other ones i know are doujin games. Phantasmagoria of Flower View and a game that is pretty much a parody of senko no ronde: Acceleration of Suguri

No Co op

If you play with yakumo, yes you will get thrashed XD. But not because you suck or anything of the sort. The game has a pretty steep learning curve, so I was only basing it on the possibility that you wont know what youre doing from the get go =P

Lol and I noticed he likes to play his games over and over again so I think I will be doomed in VS mode but ah well I guess I will still get the game so I can play local VS mode when my friends drop by. Lol.
