1942 what a game to rember

When I found out this game was going through a re- vap,I was put into a warp zone to when i last played it. Looked at the trailers and thought yesss get in what fun.

It was roll ,bome and dodge all over again. Hours of fun. tones of levels and  two player online ( mint).

Just got it and well.

Was going to rattle on about loads of faults and bad things about the new game.

Just going to say the guys that made this 1942 should play the old one and then try again

Here's what bugged me. The intro music is straight from 1943 (arcade).  The only thing that this shares in common with 1942 is a) the barrel roll and a) the barrel roll.  oh and bodan but still.

Re: 1942 what a game to rember
I want the original on live so bad. I wish they would release it along with some of the updates of the game. I love this new game because it has some of the same ideas that were in a game called 1945 Strikers. I had the Sega Saturn years ago and I had to buy the Japan inport of the game because it was never released here in the U.S. To this day the game plays like one of the best shooters around. Problem is trying to get it. Ebay has them for the Staurn and the Playstation 1 and 2. Just be aware that if you buy a game that says import, it won't play on U.S. game systems without a work around of some sort. I bought a cart that plugged into the saturn that allowed me to play any import game. I just can't read it....but you don't need to read to shoot the planes down!!

they took huge aspects of 1943 and 19xx in this remake.  Charge shot, medals.  Check out 19xx if you like strikers.

Well it's a XBOX 360 Arcade game now. Overall it's a decent game.

I was looking forward to this release so much, thought it would have bought back memories of many lost 20p's down the local arcade. I knew that the new version would not be the hit it was trying to emulate, but one of the main reasons for me buying it was because I thought that you would have to option of playing the original classic from the menu. Who knows, maybe a furure update or another arcade release will quench my thirst?...Sad [:(]

I was going to jump on this game a while back after playing the demo.  Then, I just lost it and went back to the original on my NES.  I think if XBL is going to release a rehashed version of a classic like 1942, they need to release the original right along with it so gamers can see what it's really all about.
