Its about time we kicked off a thread about this one. Ninja Gaiden 2 has come and gone, and Too Human is just around the corner. But this is another one that I was quietly anticipating and watching. Its the cover feature on this month's PLAY magazine, and it has me drooling even more. The games artwork is all done by famed comic book artist and one of my personal favorites for his work on Ultimate Avengers 3 and Street Fighter-- Joe Madureira . Supposedly you take on the role of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse (aside from Kratos, I don't think it gets any sicker that that!!) and you have to regain all of your powers thoughout the course of the game. Okay, I know it sounds cliche as h3ll, but I wait until they execute to pass judgement. For now I'll play the optimist and hope for the best. So far though, its shaping up nicely.

Darksiders: Cinematic Intro
From what iv'e read and seen of this game, it's going to be awesome. I just hope it can pull some attention from all the other titles that will be dropping later this year, and early 09'. Hopefully, people won't see this as another DMC and forget about it come release time.
Thanks for this one, Joe. (BTW, I got your msg about the Play mag, but remember I told you about it a couple weeks back? But yeah, this game is lookin pretty sick.) I was talkin to a friend of mine while I was at work today, and he asked me about Darksiders. I told him I've been following it since I found out "Joe Mad" was behind the art design.
I'll say the same thing here that I said to my friend-If Koji Igarashi really wants to take a crack at another 3D Castlevania, and he wants it to be really good, I'd start by taking a good hard look at Darksiders. Everybody's making God of War comparisons, but what really shows to me are the Zelda and Castlevania influences (which the dev team says were 2 big inspirations for this one).
