Does anyone know if it is possible to play online, with different teams in with your own created players that play different positions?  So if I create a goalie, defensive man or forward I can join different teams and play with them?

In 09 then yes, you cant do that in 08 however.

I doubt you'd be able to play ranked games using your "own costumized team" or w.e costum players,  obv ppl would abuse that option and have every player on their team with a 99 rating, which would make the game weird...

I believe your player will progress depending on how well you play your position.  When you create your player it will be similar to Tiger Woods, they give you a bit of "points" to spread around on key areas but the rest you will earn over time.

Seems like they are watching... lol now that they added this feature in NHL 10 now they can focus back on having great game play like they did in 09 cause 10 blows in my opinion.
