I think this is one of the best Xbox 360 launch games and still rank pretty high for me. There are different racing games out (Burnout, Full Auto, NFS, PGR3, Moto GP, etc) all with different tastes and feel and not everyone will like it. Some people like that underground, rap music, police chase game...some like the total destruction, do what it takes to win and some like the precise handling, realistic physics and sim quality of PGR3.
This just may not be your cup of tea, but it is a very good, well made game. It's a game I still encourage everyone to have in thier Xbox 360 library of games.

Well, I've played Grand Turismo, Need for Speed and Burnout on PS2, and I like sim quality (GT4), I like destruction (Burnout) and I like police chasing (NFSMW), but PGR3 has none of the above. I would say its an arcade racer, but they failed to make a fun concept other than racing on poorly designed tracks.I really cant see why you should encourage everybody to have this title in their library. If this is one of the best games for 360, then I must say that I regret not waiting for PS3.

Read my post again...I said one of the best launch games.
PGR3 it the equivalent of GT.
If you do not like it, that’s fine, I’m not forcing anyone to like it. Just move on. There are some other 360 games the people enjoy that I do not. I just move on and find one that suits my taste. If you do not like it, you just don’t like it.

Jogg Banan wrote:PGR3 is no where near an equivalent of GT. I you say that, I don't think you have played both games.
You are not understanding the meaning of “Equivalent” as it is used on context of my statement. Equivalent is the rank the title has for that particular console. The number one realistic sim racing game on the PS2 is GT. The number one realistic sim FPS game on the PS2 is SOCOM. Right now the number one sim racing game on the 360 is PGR3. The number one realistic sim FPS is GRAW.
PGR3 and GT both hold the exact same title on their respective console and same goes for GRAW and SOCOM.
If someone wanted the most realistic sim racing game on the 360, right now PGR3 is the game. Same question for the PS2 and it would be GT.
When I said equivalent, it was the ranking both games have for their respective console. Equivalent does not mean better than as used in the context of my statement.
BTW…yes, I have played GT

Thats true. But I guess what I don't like is this: The 3 most recent racing-games I've played are Grand Turismo 4, Burnout Revenge and Need For Speed Most Wanted. All of these have something that makes you wanna play. Grand Turismo is very open, you can buy alot of cars, tune them, its fun to drive etc. Burnout has its crasy speed and crashing. Need for speed MW has a story and its fun to drive, tweak, roam etc.
(It's also difficult to play xbox360 in the night, because of all the noise it makes wiht fans and dvds spinning, it keeps my wife, who sleeps in another room, awake)I've played maybe 20 races when I started to think: "Is this all?", "How many tracks are there?", "Are every race the same". Then I realised I had enough money to buy my dreamcar an Aston Martin. Quite satisfying, now aleast I'm gonna kick ***. Hey, why have all the other cars changed to? .......so there is no reward in switching cars. Oh well, now I'm bored. Is there anything else in this game than drafting? (I've put it out for sale, but it's slow to sell).
briclarke wrote:Agree - PGR3 is a missing something - the tracks are dull compared to GT and why is it so dark. Test Drive Unlimited is a much better driving experience judging from the demo.
HowlingCoyote wrote:hehehe yea, spend your 600 dollars on your shiny new PS3.
Just to clear this up, PGR3 has to be one of the best actual racing games, it cannot be compaired to NFS or test drive... Those type of games are aimed more towards people age 16 and under, PGR meets the needs of all ages and genders, plus for those of us not skimping on cost of less than £1 per week, Play it live and theres more fun that any of the other racing games....
And this is for anyone who actually liked test drive!! Its the worsed game i've ever been on, its got all the right noises but game play is crap... This game is another one for kids, who don't actually no how it is like to drive, were PGR is more real life!!
GNARKILL04 wrote:You like game like NFS... you literally cannot say anything about PGR being a bad game because its one of the best racers out there.
