Any strong reasons not to buy this?
I never got around to this game, but after fooling around with the demo a bit I am on the verge of dropping the $15 admission price and proceeding to get the station back in working order. The only thing stopping me is...well, the amount of average reviews and negative feedback I've heard from people who own it.

I know a multiplayer component was planned, and then simply went A.W.O.L., but I can live with that. I love the physics aspect of it, it reminds me of all the time I spent in Half Life 2 and Portal just playing around with things and seeing what I could do. The graphics are incredible for an XBLA title, and it seems like it could be a lot of fun with the upgrading system and all.

I've already seen some of the little annoyances that can occur from not picking up an object exactly right or hitting a wall or something...but again, after playing Half Life 2 and Portal a lot, I kind of appreciate the realistic physics and don't find that to be a flaw of the game, but rather as something I need to correct in my play-style.

So...does anyone truly regret purchasing this and think it simply must be avoided at all costs, or should I dive in?

Thanks!

Happy Holidays!

The Roboblitz forums are not exactly active, but I do know that those that purchased the game enjoyed it.

If you really enjoyed the demo, you will like the full game. I was just hoping there would be a price drop because it's been out for so long.

Here's a good post in the forums about it.

Thank you, Silvercube, for your opinion and the link.

I had thought I purchased all of the XBLA titles I was interested in, but after spending a little more time with the demos I believe I may purchase both RoboBlitz and Switchball and try my hand at physics!

You are welcome : )

Both games you mentioned are great arcade games. I was thinking about purchasing the two, but they get a bit frustrating for me, lol. Apparently my handle on physics needs a tune-up ^_^

RoboBlitz: The game is FUN you'll need to use your noggin as well as reflexes.
SwitchBall: Fun as well but this as noted is fustrating at times too.
