I hate how you can't do combos now. They stuffed up the game. Because of this one tiny thing, I don't play the game anymore. I mean, I love all Dynasty warriors games but this game put me off. I played it for one day and didn't play after that! Why did they change the people's weapons? Lu Bu is now some cheapo with some dumb circle blade thing. They wrecked it.

That's a shame you did that. Even though its not what your use to you need to at least give it a trial of a week. I don't believe you liked the series at all ,if you gave up that quick.

Never playing a DW game for more than an hour. This is the first DW game I've actually played. As a newcomer, sure, it didn't meet all the expectations that preceded it, but it still is a good game in its own right. Sure some of the weapons and combo system could be re-worked. But the game looks a lot better than past ones in comparison. Besides KOEI had decided to start over from scratch. In my opinion, they could have done better, but its not that bad either.

I liked te game for what it was, not what it is now. Trust me, I do like the series and I'm happy to know a Warriors Orochi 2 is coming out! I have played DW2, DW3XL, DW4, DW4XL, DW5, DW5XL, DW5Empires, Warriors Orochi and DW6. And you think I don't like the series? I loved every one except for number 6.

Warriors Orochi 2 may be fun to play but those graphics looks like they went back in time. I wish they had dw6 graphics then it would be a hit. Even though Im still getting because of the customization in it.

OK the graphics on DW6 were good though. Nothing else.

I have to dissagree with you. Yeah it some ways it sucks but in alot of ways it is a step in the right direction for the series.

The new renbu system is pretty cool. So you can't do the same kind of combos that you culd do before but how often did you use those other combos anyway. The warriors games have always been hack and slash and the new system does not change that basic concept in one bit.

Also you can finally swim in the water in this one.

The biggest beef anyone could really have with this game is the weapon changes and dissappearences of some of the characters. I was kinda pissed at first about my 2 favorite characters getting different weapons. If you have played the DW series sinc 2 it can be hard to swallow when suddenly your favorite character gets a weapon change. My fav has always been Xiahou Dun and I was pissed to see his weapon get changed. My second fav became a playable character in DW5. As long as I have been playing DW I waited for a character with some nunchucks and Ling Tong quickly became my second fav character, so I was pretty pissed when they changed his weapon in 6.

Not all of the weapon changes are bad though. Sima Yi for example. His new claws are absolutely awsome. I actually enjoyed playing as him for once. Lu Bu's new weapons are kinda hit and miss. Personally I like them and think they are awsome and fit him nicely. Lu Bu is a BEAST! The only problem is his damn eyeliner! I don't like his new outfit so much. I think Koei should have made him look even more like the beast he is. Just look at Wei Yan for cripes sake! He looks like a beast!

I said this in another post some time ago but i think i need to say it again.

Koei actually put alot of work into the new weapons and weapon combat. The moves were motion captured and made to look like they came from a Kung Fu movie. That actually explains alot about why the weapon sets were changed as they were.  I recommend watching some good Kung Fu movies and you will see what I mean. try some Shaw Brothers films.

You can't do combos though that's the thing! Just say Guan Yu has move 1 (x) and move 2 (y).

If you press xxxy, he will do the same x move 3 times and then do the y move. That's not a combo.

Same way i feel, theres like no creativity you can do with the characters now, like when i play Samurai Warriors 2 XL, i can play with Nobunaga for example and do a XYYY and do a aerial combo or do a XXXXY and upgrade my weapon damage and do extra combos. or play as Toshiie and do like 9 different combos. What im saying is that instead of just clicking X or Y as a full attack set is just boring, only thing thats good is the graphics but graphics dont make a game great. Ok fine they hired so-called "Kung Fu Specialist" to do weapon swings...give me a stick and ill swing around the house too if you want, i highly doubt someone will attack someone in fight like "wei yan/huang gai moveset" does. i always loved the warriors game like the guy above me said, i played everyone of them except the first DW but this one just didnt last as long as others did.

Enough said. Have played all DW/SW since DW 3 on the PS2. Played DW6 for about a week and simply just didn't like it everytime I was done playing it. Was hoping this would be one of those games I didn't play for achievements...looks like its not.

Heres to a better game next time.

The clones are the only thing that bugged me throughout the whole game + the # of musou modes, but at least Koei actually took a chance and tried to make some bigger changes to this series since DW5 kinda sucked IMO.

Hopefully they'll fix those problems for DW7 then I'd probably buy that game, if not then I'll wait and see if they'll do something like they're doing now with DW6: Special (>_>)

DW5 maps were all small and it was too easy. Character selection was nice though, but that's it.

I've never played WO because the price for that game has not dropped since it came out in my area.

Is that the same for anyone else?

What disappointed me about this was the total loss of the Nanman characters and campaign levels. DW 4 and 3 had those and elephants ffs! I mean what was KOEI thinking taking those out? They were the two best characters in the series.

It's already out in Japan and Europe, it comes out tommorow in North America, and October the 2nd in Austailia.

phsycoon try uping renbu duh he has more then that combo you work it up just like in the previous games just differently

well my opinion but DW6 was awesome it not really a 2 player game though its change in weapons though for some suck but for other neccessary like ling tong his nunchucks would do *** to actual armor so a spear will do but xiahou dun massive club is a dissapointment the story line was pretty good but some scenes are very over dramatic but still very good i like lu bu's what if campaign also his weapon isn't that bad and the fighting system was very well done i like how its your character lvls increase through point also how does your weapon in the previous reflect combos is kinda dumb instead work for renbu or combos in that sense ppl goota give it time it get better combo become stronger and more fluent also counter system allows you to do 1v1 or duels very nicely or the dodge if you learn or remeber what DW series was to you it was salshing and historical to extents in the end it was  more then i could expect

I get that full renbu thing and he still doesn't seem to do the same thing as in the old ones. The combo system was a thing that made the DWs stand out. And plus all the achievments are secret so I don't even know what to do to get them.
