Mercenaries 2 Achievement Guide

     NOTE: This game is very glitchy and numerous of people are stating that some achievements are not unlocking make sure you save as then the get triggered then unlock.


Tattooed Millionaire 25G: Earn 1 Million Dollars
This will come naturally throughout the campaign.
NOTE: Been reports of this achievement being glitched and not even unlocking at all. When you reach over 1 Million Dollars SAVE then it should unlock as I had the same problem I tried saving and it unlocked at $2.1 Million.

Partners In Crime 50G: Play Co-op with a friend
Join a buddy's room or have them join yours BaAm! Unlocked.

Pipeline 20G: Capture all outposts in a single faction
Each faction has 4 outposts except for the Pirattes who have 2. You need to take an outpost (to clear up some confusion hit UP on the D-Pad to call in your reinforcments and they will enter the building to gain that outpost) So take over 4 of them. one you capture one, you don't have to go all the way back to that factions HQ's just go to the one you captured and continue on.

Eat The Heat 10G: Try accelerating and braking at the same time
Another buggy achievement. Hold X & Y for 10seconds and this should unlock (you may have to try this a few times with different vehicles.

Armaggedon It 20G: Destroy 20 buildings
This will come naturally.

Shoot to thrill 20G: Get 25 headshots
This will come naturally just aim for the head.

Damage, Inc. 50G: Use 20 air strikes in Co-op
Use 20 air strikes in co-op, Carpet bombs,air strikes, nukes,bunker busters etc. 20 of those and your done. This will come naturally as there are a lot of buildings to destroy!

Hail and Kill 20G: Destroy 50 objects using melee
Objects count as people also, so run around hitting everyone enemies, boxes, crates etc.

Holy smoke 20G: Destroy 50 objects with a grenade
Run around in battles tossing your grenades everywhere, also a little trick when you exit the PMC look to your left and there will be a small hedge garden there. Bombs your nades in there they count as well.

Little savage 20G: Destroy 50 objects with an RPG launcher
This will come naturally. Use rockets on basically anything blasting away.

Balls to the wall 20G: Beat the winching challenge 3 times
This suckers easy to do simply talk to your helicopter pilot back at the PMC (up the stairs) and beat this challenge 3 times.

Gone shootin' 20G: Complete one of Fiona's challenges
Back at the PMC on the middle floor talk to Fiona sitting at the tabel and do & complete one of her challenges.

Heavy metal thunder 10G: Sucessfully complete 10 action hijacks
When you see a tank run up to the long barrel and hit Y. Will bring you into a small cut-scene hitting the correct buttons to highjack the tank. Do this 10 times.

Be quick or be dead 10G Snipe 50 enemy vehcile drivers
Shoot enemy vehicle drivers 50 times.I have not yet unlocked this achievement this on is glitched as I got 75 headshots on enemy drivers and still no achievement. Any pointers on this one?

No more Mr.Nice Guy 10G: Make every faction HOSTILE
Go to each faction and cause Mayhem! until you turn them hostile shoot everything and everybody. You will see the bar on the right drop.

And Justice For All 50G: Verify all High Value Targets
For each faction there will be 10 High Value targets and the UN and the PMC have 3. There are 5 throughout the story so if you have 10/11 2/3 don't worry as you will get a chance to get them later. Make sure you Subdue them, meaning knock them out call extraction and put them in the chopper. As this will count towards the secret achievement ACES HIGH, keep all Value targets alive.

Digital Man 20G: Unlock all shop items
100 spare parts
PMC Challenges 1,2 &3 levels done
Beat the story
Complete all High Value Targets
Destroy the building missions (the blue icons on your map)
All faction challenges

We'll Burn The Sky 50: Unlock all landing zones
This is easier then you may think, there are 22 in total. Each faction has 4 except for the Pirates which have 3. Capture the 4 outposts for each faction and this will unlock a landing zone. Make sure you make a backup save, so if you mess up you still have the original.

Highway to *** 10G: Complete three different races
Back at the PMC talk to eva, do the race challenge 3 times to unlock.

Wheels of Steel 50G: Come first during a Co-op race
Grab a partner race and just beat him, easiest race is at the PMC. Again, talk to eva.

Nothin' But a Good Time 50G: Destroy 200 objects from the gunner seat in co-op
You can get this by yourself if your in a vehicle which allows you to shoot and drive at the same time. Seat in the gunner seat while your partner drives and just shoot everything (humans count as well)

Everybody Wants Some!! 50G: Play with a Mercenaries 2 Developer or a player who already has this achievement
If yor friend has the achievement ask for a invite and play with him, as soon as you enter the room you will get this achievement it's viral.

Billion Dollar Babies 20G: Earn $1 Billion
Do the winching challenge back at the PMC. Ok now this is were people get confused, when you go talk to the helicopter pilot and you hit the challenge HIT ACCEPT EVERYTIME DO NOT change the wager, if you do you will just be suck at $5 Million and the wager won't go up. Keep hitting Accept and the wager will go up $200,000 each time. I got all the way up to $45 Million in 1 go before I unlocked this achievement. You will have it in no time.

Wild One 10G: You recruited Ewan
This will come in story line.

The Rage 20G: You completed "Rescue Carmona."
This will come in story line.

Hello, Hooray 50G You acquired the PMC
This will come in story line.

School's Out 20G You completed the tutorial
This will come in story line.

Ride the Dragon 10G: You highjacked the tank in Villa
This will come in story line.

The Analog Kid 20G: You recruited Misha
This will come in story line.

Oil and Gasoline 20G: You recruited Eva
This will come in story line.

Runnin' with the Devil 20G: You verified Blanco
This will come in story line. If  your going for the ACES HIGH achievement make sure to subdue him and not kill him

You Better Run 20G: You Verified Carmona
This will come in story line.If  your going for the ACES HIGH achievement make sure to subdue him and not kill him

No Compromise, No Regrets 20G: You battled for Carcas
This will come in story line.

The Hero and the Madman 50G: You completed Mercenaries 2
Beat the game.

Dirty Deeds 10G: You achieved maximum Universal Petroleum mood.
Story line. Complete all outposts and missions for this faction

Island of Domination 10G: You achieved maximum Pirate mood.
Story line. Complete all outposts and missions for this faction

Forever Free 10G: You achieved maximum P.L.A.V mood
Story line. Complete all outposts and missions for this faction

Longing for Fire 10G: You achieved maximum Chinese mood
Story line. Complete all outposts and missions for this faction

Stand up and Shout 10G: You achieved maximum mood with the allies
Story line. Complete all outposts and missions for this faction

Aces High 50G: You captured all High Value Targets

1. For Digitial man, does it matter that I get everything before I decide to work with the Chinese or AN or can I still get everything after im done with that.
2. For the billion dollar achievement, your wager just keeps getting bigger each time as you do the winch challenge, right?

EDIT: Oh, for the 50 driver kills, I think you actually have to do it with a sniper rifle, thats the only thing I can think of as I should have it by now also.

1) I would just to be on the safe side. I have 22/100 spare parts and I have the IGN map so I will be confused on what one's I have and don't. So in my opinion yes you should, the High Value targets and outposts make sure you get all those first before you complete any missions, remember there are 4 for each faction except for the Pirates UN and PMC.

2) Yes. People get confused because the keep making the wager high and get stuck at $5 Million DON'T do that. Just keep hitting accept and your money will grow $200,000 each time. I got up to $40 million before I got my billionaire achievement.

Don't change the wager. Keep hitting accept and your money will rise ex: $1.2Mill $1.4Mill $1.6Mill $1.8Mill $2Mill and so on and so forth but what I was referring to, is when you keep hitting accept your money will get that high making the Billion dollar achievement easy as pie.

When I try to snipe people in the vehicles nothing happens...  Does it mean the people in the gunseat?

Also, I beat the game on the Allies side and I bribed China and they won't let me do their outpost missions or their HVTs...  Those ***...

 Back at the PMC. There is your Helicopter Pilot (forget his name) you have to recruit him by beating one of his challenges. View your map, find him, do one of his challenges and your set.

Can the the later missions for the Chinese or AN effect if you can get spare parts(Pretty much, if I do something for one faction will I still be able to go anywhere on the map? I heard if you do the Chinese one that you can't go near the AN HQ anymore since its not on the radar.

 Yea that's true. Just try and get everything before hand Make sure you make 2 saves before you go out on your hunt for them so if you mess up. You still have the original save.

This achievement is for achieving maximum mood with the AN. When I was at the PMC and I got the Introduction to AN and the Chinese from Fiona, right after her speech I got the achievement for achieving maximum Chinese mood. So I looked at my stats and saw I had maximum AN mood also yet I didn't get the achievement for it. So I thought ok this is odd, so I went to AN and did two outpost missions for them and still nothing!!
How do you get it? And When did you get the achievement?

It came naturally, do all the outposts and missions for that faction. You won't have a chance to go back when you beat the game.

If you mean how to complete it, you need to winch something into the circle and then winch the object onto the top of the thing you brought into the circle. It just needs to be higher than 5m. So just use one of the containers that are right next to the circle.

I've killed quite a few drivers using rifles with no achievement so I'm thinking you really do have to use a sniper rifle.

 You have to use the American 50cal sniper. It can be found at the AN (Allies) Apparently the Chinese sniper kit doesn't work.

So, in regards to this "achievement glitch", and how to resolve it by first manually saving, then quit out to your dashboard with ethernet cable unplugged, I have a couple questions.

Is this "glitch" referring to the money earned only, or is it random glitches throughout the game that you have to do that? If that's the case, that would be a big pain in the a$$, since I don't pay attention to the "achievements" when I get them.

In co-op, specifically for the $ glitch ... Does that mean, when you and your partner accumulate $1 Million / Billion dollars, you both have to back out to get the achievement? I've read that some people said the co-op achievements come, but don't pop-up while playing, and the 1-Player achievements, if you didn't get them, you need to do the whole back out thing to achieve them.

Either way, how is a game released like this? And by such a big-name company? I don't think I've ever came across a game where either the achievements never come, you have to back out to dashboard to retrieve achievements, or sometimes I've heard people get like 9 achievements at once ... WOW. Speaking of EA and their "awesome" servers, I just came across a review and such of a "free" online game for the PC that follows the lines of Battlefield, I guess. But "free" means there will be a good load of people playing, and with EA and their awesome server capability, this is probably not a good sign.
