Hey guys. There is a way to fight less soliders on some of these levels even in veteran mode. In Stalingrad 1943 City Hall. Once you reach the corner of the building where you must take a right and there is a big steeple sort of center but to your right. there is a mg42 behind that. to the right there is also wall that others soldiers usually come from to shoot you. If you kill the first 2 dudes in front of the steeple and immeadiately run over to the right wall and take out the mg42 gunner, no other soldiers will come. You can proceed to the next part where there are blocks in the snow and the school bus nearby. the trick is to get to the wall fast enough and take out the gunner and advance far enough to where the soldiers cant spawn because you are already closer to the point which they would appear and if they did, they would appear out of thin air.
the second one is on
Tunisia 1943 - Outnumbered and Outgunned
At the very beginning, you have to man the MG42 and start to take out loads of germans. It can get a little hairy and you may get killed fairly easy. If you want to, you dont have to shoot them at all. The game is recording the number of kills your NPC crew is doing too. So you can just prone and lay there and let them kill the majority. I only hopped on the mg42 2 times to shoot some germans real quick and hopped off. After a while and it wasnt long, the half track showed up and blew a hole in the wall like it was supposed to and I got the next check point.
There are other times in the levels where it seems if you move through to a point faster rather than hanging back and being cautious, you will hit a checkpoint and as a result fight less soldiers.
