I downloaded Sonic first came out, had no problems at all.  About a month or so goes by and one day I log onto it again.  It keeps telling me I have the trial version of the game.  I deleted it from my HD, downloaded it again and it still kept saying it was the trial version.  I finally deleted it again thinking it was a bug that need time to be worked out.

Now a few months have passed and I downloaded the game again.  It's still saying I have the trial version.

I am having the same problem too. It is driving me crazy!

Ya I ran smack into that a moment ago. After deleting the content, downloading again it came back. You need to go to 'unlock game' on the menu and choose 'download again' OR 'continue'. It clicked back into gear after that...annoying.

i had the exact same problem, i tried everything until i fiound that i had to re-authorize the game, you can do it on the xbox website, im not sure where because i was given a link, try support...

I thought I was the only one who was having trouble because I just received my console back from being repaired and now I have to 1. go into the game 2. Re-Download the game 3. Then Press Continue....is there any way to fix this?

its called a content license transfer, if u have a different console to the 1 you first downloaded the game to then you need to re-authorize it on your new 1

hey genius i just received my console back from repair and they are suppose to transfer the licenses from your old console to the new one...now every game except this one works...want to explain that one?

I have the same problem, the other games work fine but Sonic Doesn't? I bought a new 60GIG xbox and downloaded it as per normal, along with uno, this doesn't wortk but?

Boot up the game and go to Unlock Full Game. Select the Full Game option and choose Download Again. The download will take about two seconds, after that press Continue and the game will behave itself.

and if your at a family's house with no internet connection? this is so *** I pay for a game and can't even play it without a internet connection!

After some searching, I found out that anyone who has this problem can easily fix it by going to www.xbox.com.drm and transferring you're liscences to your current Xbox. You will need an Xbox Live connection to do so.

I'm glad at least I post what to do to help other people find out afterwards. I wish other people were as considerate as me :/

Quick extra note: I recently bought Streets of Rage 2 on my own hard drive, but using my girlfriend's Xbox 360 and am now stuck in the same boat as I was previously with Sonic. The only problem is, I'm not allowed to transfer liscences 'til next year. What the hell is the deal with that :S I truely cannot get this round my head. Thank god I can still use the DLC for retail games I got at the same time...
