Not that I know of, but it would be pretty epic to see a sequel.

There has been no news of a sequel even in Japan, which doesn't mean it won't ever happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

the first game had potential,a lot of potential and innovative ideas and great visuals but there is room for improvement. i don't think there will be a sequel but if there was it would need to be revamped and still stand out as its own rpg and not another FF nor be compared to FF. i think a lot of the hardcore fans of rpg were quick to knock the first one because it was not of FF quality in a lot of aspects but i'm quite certain that had this game been called FF sales would have been through the roof LOL

i'd like to see a sequel just to see if the development team could make a homerun the 2nd time around but i don't think its going to happen which is okay

I enjoyed this game, the storyline was good
the battle system could of done better, but I still enjoyed it.
I'd love to see a sequel.

I actually really liked this game. When it came out I was in the mood for a casual RPG, nothing too involved. I didn't want to invest 150 hours. It served its purpose.

Dunno about a sequal but here's a few other games by From Software:

PSX- Kings Field, Kings Field II, Shadow Tower.
PS2- Kings Field The Ancient City, Eternal Ring, Evergrace, Forever Kingdom (Evergrace 2).
 
I'd reccamend KF 1 & 2, sure the graphics are outdated but those two were my favs out of the rest.
