So I've beat the game(PS3 version). Anyone have questions about the game?

Npeaen 09-07-2008, 9:00 AM
I initially had this thread going on gamefaqs but somehow got banned for Illegal activities.(wut?)

So since there's no real noticeable difference between the 360 and PS3 versions(demowise) I can imagine the final product is more or less identical.

So, I've beat it, It's a solid enough game.  The first half is pretty terrible and the 2nd half is pretty awesome.

Took me seven hours to beat.  There seems to be two endings.

Any questions?

Nice. Without any spoilers did they give a clear idea when you were making choices that affect the story?

Do you mind not asking what happens at the end of the game? Some people actually want to play it, and find it out for themselfs.

Not sure if you will be able to answer this one, but as there are a few different, difficulties, if I complete it on the hardest verison will I get a credited with achievements for the easier versions?? Plus is it good.

One question, Does the Jump height improve as the game progresses? Meaning, does your leap get any higher than it was in the demo?

The game is extremely linear, in my play there was one actual choice that could be made near the end of the game.

 Lord Revan Sith wrote:

No, the amount of unlockable costumes suggest 3-5 endings,(As I unlocked a costume for the ending I got) but that could also be unlocks for beating the game on the harder difficulties.

1. Two from my first playthrough. There are several costumes you can change into however, and the last few are still locked. Several of their outlines do not look like Starkiller.

2. I'm not going to answer this on the forums.

3. Weapon customization happens from gathering "Jedi Holocrons" scattered about the levels. Each mission has 10-15 of these guys. Some of them give you experience points toward leveling up, some give you orbs used to upgrade your skills, some of them give you lightsaber parts. For the lightsaber there are two parts to customize. The power crystal, which affects damage dealt by the lightsaber and the color crystal, which is pretty self explanatory.

The game is a big fan of throwing somewhat cheap things at you, starting a new game on the hard difficulty (you don't have access to the hardest till you beat the game) is suicide. Starkiller is very weak at the beginning(The tie fighter mission is the first you play as him, and he's significantly weaker there than in the demo), and you CAN change the difficulty as you go, a new game+ so to speak. I tried a new game on the hardest difficulty and could not get past the hanger, Starkiller went down in something like five shots.

I enjoyed the game, but there are a number of technical issues, things like infinite enemy spawns(This gets really annoying when the game pushes you several feet to the side to let an enemy spawn), pop in, random pausing and a general lack of polish.

There are nine levels in the game, although one of them you can't go back and play again without starting a genuine new game.  There is some replay value with the New Game+ and harder difficulties, as well as the "Training modules" which is a small room on a ship where you can take a number of combat challenges.  Things like killing 10 Felucians and a Rancor in this small room.

No, you're stuck with the leap that you have, jump, double jump, force dash. The game does have several platforming sections in it, but none of them are very difficult.

Im glad you can replay levels with your powers

Does it look like you can max out EVERYTHING? Because in previous games, you could only max out so much and the rest you couldnt (Mass Effect is an example)

Unless you're playing on the absolute easiest difficulty and skip every cut scene there is no way the game is only 7 hours total.

LucasArts has stated that almost all of the levels (with the exception of the Vader level) are over 1 hour in length, and the longest level is est. 2:30 play time.

Thats a load of crap, or so I've been led to believe. The video with the guys playing below lasted 133 minutes, they done 3 levels and a few Wii levels. An hour for each one is a bit much, though I could be wrong

Maybe they skipped a whole load.

Yes, assuming as I replay the title I continue to gain levels. The upgrade orbs come in three flavors. Force powers, force combos, and some orange one that is passive abilities. In my first playthrough I was able to max out force combos(lightsaber attacks), but there's still a fair amount to go in the other two.

I played the game on the normal difficulty setting and skipped zero cutscenes(you often can't, some cutscenes are masking load times). When I beat the game the game clock when I loaded up my file read 6:57.

It was for the "good" ending.  I forgot the exact name, but it's a white robe with tan sashs on it.  It also has a hood.  Giving the description of "what kind of person wears it" that the game gives would give away part of the ending.

I don't know what has and hasn't been shown.  There's six force powers, a TON of force combos, and about ten passive skills.
