how come i always get sacked on screen passes?  my qb just holds it and waits to get sacked even when the play is mastered...

i've had a lot of that too. one thing to look at though is if your QB has the play mastered. cause its possible that the play is mastered by the team as a whole but some players are still unlearned. so they play could be mastered but the QB might not have it learned.
anyway i've had the same experience many times. i've never had a screen go for more than 7-8 yards usually anyway. not much payoff for such a risk.

well, I'm the Seahawks and Hasselbeck has the entire playbook mastered so i don't think that's the problem...

yeah that doesn't surprise me. i rarely get a screen to work. i don't know.....

Screen Passes don't work in this game - plain and simple

I remove both screen passs and counter plays from my playbook before I start with a team

Majority of the screen passes that come with the game suck. There are one or two that work, but you are better off trying to create your own. I removed a lot of screens from my playbook too. I'll call them if I'm way ahead, but usually steer clear of them.

I don't know way but I put this game on the shelf back in Feb/March I and knoe for a fact i could not call a screen pass (sacked 100%) of the time. but i played this weekend. There was an update of course and i conferted 4 of 4 screen passes. I was like YES!
