Love this game, almost as much as I love achievements.

Just a quick question to those who have unlocked the achievement for 100% crushing each level. Does that have to be done in one play-through or can you select the level you wish to attack.

The reason I ask is because I recently restarted the game and for some reason re-commenced after the training level - I haven't got 100% on that so wanted to return to after I completed the game for a second time.

You do need to get 100% crystals on training also. When you select new game, there will be an option to start from training again.

Well it appears that you do have to 100% each area in one play through as I have just found out to my cost.

Here I go again...

You should be able to do it not in 1 play through, as I didn't. However be careful as in the first Level (after training) there is a boss, but you have to trigger it a certain way, basically go and scan the jump beacon before your hyperdrive fills. If you fail to get the bosses and go to the secrete levels then you will not get the achievement.

Is that a general rule that applies to the rest of the levels as well?  I've only encountered a few bosses so far (currently at the toxic plant about 8 levels in) and quite a few times my hyperdrive has filled before scanning the beacon.

No only the first level.
