Ive only played through as Richter twice. Once getting the highest % possible and once as quick as I could. I finished in just under 15 mins I believe.

It took me forever and a day to get it too.

and ya, Holy Water + Item crash FTW!!!!

The Richter run took me like 20 minutes, and that was only because I had to keep checking the map to make sure I was going the shortest route.

Did you try the sword familiar trick? easy, easy $

After two years of paying for it and not being interested enough to play it I gave it another shot, signed. Good musical score and map design, game was a little too easy though.

Signed.  Just beat it as Richter not to long ago.  I forgot that I had to still do that until I was looking through my arcade games.  I used the Y + dagger special on everything because I couldn't remember what I used back in the day to get through everything with him.

   You probably used the Hydro Storm item crash. You need the holy water item to do that. Since you already have it done, I doubt you will be interested but there is a video walkthrough of the best path through as Richter in the resource at the top of the page. It also shows where to pick up the holy water on the way.

Live, Laugh, and Die...

Finally, I got it all yesterday. I only found out about the holy water + y thing when I was almost done. I guess that's what I get for being weird about not using the internet to help. Except with the 200.6%. I would have never gotten that myself.

I hate vans.

I finally got them all...  I'm kind of sad its over..

Decided to start playing this again, and finish off the achievements. I didn't get them when the game first came out, because at about 190ish % of the castle explored I accidentally deleted my save. So I started a new save the other day and just blew through this in a couple of days, to finish off the achievements.

I may play through again for fun, try without the shield rod again, for the extra challenge.
