When I first got my 360, I was all about playing my BC xbox games on it. I've kinda cooled on that since more and more great 360 games have come out. How does this compare to other 3rd person shooters? If I liked the Battlefront games, would I like this since its made by pandemic and lucasarts? It doesn't have online, right? What, if any, replay value does it have. I'm probably going to rent this anyway, but I wanted to get a feel for how people felt about this game. I never played it when I had my regular xbox. I don't really know why, it looks fun.

This is the best game on the Xbox.  You should definitely get it.  It does have some replay as there are different endings.

It's amazing, almost like GTA. You can call in artillary strikes stun people, hijack helicopters. I just bought my copy today.

 

Very very fun game. The only problem I have with it is the crappy emulator for 360 that crashes very frequently..... but works great on original xbox!

^I'm probably gonna wait for Mercs 2 and buy San Andreas instead of this because of all that crap I'm hearing...

Mercenaries is better than any GTA except maybe IV. Definitely a must-have.

San Andreas is still the best.. 4 was pretty good but not as good as San Andreas.  My opinion SA>4>VC>3, of the 3d ones.

Well, notice I said "maybe". A quick check of my gamercard reveals that I haven't played any of the GTA games. I know quite a bit about them, but I've never owned or really played any of them. I only said that about 4 because I've heard a lot about the multiplayer aspects, and free play online GTA sounds awesome to me.

Wrong game, moron. We're talking about Mercs 1 here, not Mercs 2.

Anyway, yes, like everyone else is saying, get Mercenaries. But just know that it's not "the best game on the Xbox" or whatever- Mercenaries has its problems, some obvious, some not. And play it on your Xbox, it will crash too much on a 360.
