I just played the demo and thought it was ok, but I would like to hear what people that bought the game say.

I bought the game, pretty much what you see in the demo is what you get. There isn't a whole lot to it just a nice relaxing ball game. There is a tour mode but, I only got to play one game this morning since i have to go to work shortly. I think mp could be fun. If you're into a lot of baseball mechanics and such might not be for you this is just strictly hitting and pitching.

Little League Baseball: Championship Series and Bad News Baseball were my favorites for NES. Baseball Stars was good too though.

pretty simple game. the fieldings done for u. pitching is simple 4 buttons. and an avg swing or power swing. its a pretty simple but fun gm. i just hope more ppl go to mp.

I'm going to buy it tonight after work and i'll play a couple of MP games. It was about time a baseball game ( or stickball ) showed up in XBLA , now what about a basketball game?! There are enough shooters, cards,puzzles and rhythm games in arcade already. This game is a a welcome change from the usual arcade stuff.

I like this game.  Multiplayer is a lot of fun.  I had an extra inning game in multiplayer today, lost 6-4.  It's got simiple controls, but it's strategic in trying to figure out where to pitch and when and which type of swing to use, much like you'd see in other baseball games' pitcher/batter confrontation.  It's also good how each field presents a different type of rules.  A power hit to the right side in LA will be a hit, but in SF it would go in the water for an out.  Also, it matters how you set your lineup.  Everyone rotates position, so everyone pitches (unless your playing a 3 inning game where 3 of 4 players pitches).  It starts out that the leadoff hitter pitches the 1st inning, 2nd hitter pitches the 2nd, and so on.  I like to put a good pitcher up 3rd, so he can close out the game if it's a 3 inning game. 

It pays to play tour mode offline a bit, in order to get some points to buy cards and unlock MLB players.  Otherwise, you have 1 MLB player and 3 generic players who are each good in one category: power hitter, control pitcher, power pitcher, etc.  I got more points in offline tour mode than i did playing online.

I hope this game catches on for more multiplayer games.  I waited about 1 to 2 minutes today for a game.  Not too bad, but could be better.  For what it is (it's not a sim baseball game), it's fun.  If you like baseball, chances are you'll like this.

Well in my opinion, I think it is worth it just because I love to play baseball games. If you don't like sports, then I would advise anyone not to purchase it. The game play is cool. The achievements are almost easy to get. So for 800 MP, yes it is worth it.

I can't say this for everyone or it is just a werid timing thing but after I bought it and downloaded it, it frozed my hard drive and now i can't play any thing or delete the game. I want to say it is the game cause how it just frozed right after it downloaded and I was downloading other free demo's while playing the demo for MLB Stickball. This could be just me but if it is not i hope other people start saying it happen to them too.

hm, I think I'm gonna have to hold off for Age of Booty, the community for this seems to be lacking.. My 360 should be back from repairs today though, so I'll definitely give the trial of this a whirl.

Does this continue to happen? Have you tried redownloading the game, or playing the game when there are no other games or content downloading in the background on your console?

Please try going into Memory in the System menu to delete the game from your console if you haven't already. Then try downloading the game again. Also, you may want to review the content downloaded to your hard drive to see if there is any corrupted or incomplete content.

Ha, same here I played one game and was like, "ehhh."  Soon enough I was on my 5th game.  I'd buy no doubt for 400, 800 may be a little too much but I think I'm still buyin it.  And yeah best baseball game this year, so sad but true.  I'm a baseball freak and passed on 2k8 after the demo, horrible horrible game.  I loved 2k7 though.

this game is awesome i have a ps3 and mlb 08 the show .i think ima stay away from the show cuz of the cheaters u find there.im not replacing this game for the show but this game is really fun online and u buy trading cards and unlock pro players is really a fun game online

I have a lot of fun games in multiplayer.  One was a 6 inning game that I hit a 2 run HR in the top of the 6th to tie it 3-3.  The game went to 10 innings, where I lost 4-3 on a few hits.  Really good mulitplayer action, trying to work the count in your favor and trying to hit your spots when pitching.

I read a review on IGN.com, they gave it a 3.  I read a review on teamxbox.com, they gave it an 8.5.  I don't recall seeing that much disparity in reviews for a game.  For what it is (Stickball, not full fledged baseball) I think it's good and a lot of fun.  Collecting the cards to unlock players makes you want to keep playing.

I also like the ghost runners you see on base if a guy is batting but still should be on base.

I'm just happy to read that the online isn't just people throwing balls constantly. I'll have to get on and check the multiplayer sometime today.

it's balls about 95% of the time but u have to get used to where the ball is going and u will. I have certainly gotten my $10 worth out of it

sometimes you can't help but throw a ball.  when you have a non-pitcher pitching, the circle of where the ball can land is huge, and if you're aiming for the corner, a lot of the circle will be outside the strike zone, so the ball can and will land there from time to time.

This game was worth the money IMO.

Try before you buy to make sure it suits your interests.  I like the feels of the different fields and how differently they play.  Trying to get the ach.'s for hitting certain things are drivin me nuts though.   Can't pull em off.

Online can be cheap with ball thowers.  Better off playing against friends than randoms.
