Should I pick up Blitz II or Madden 09?

Blitz is 10x funner.

I have both and Blitz is a lot better

It all depends on what you're looking for because they're both two totally different experiences. If you would rather crack people's ribs and play football through a storyline, Blitz is obviously for you. Madden is, well... it's Madden. It's a more realistic football experience. While I will play Madden til the day I die, it's kind of fun to have a little "something different" in the football game collection with Blitz II. It adds a little more "you can't really do this out on the field, so we're going to let you in this game" feel to it, which mixes it up a bit and makes it enjoyable.

I've been playing football games since GameDay 98 and Blitz:The League 2 is by far the funniest and plus its well worth its money!

No Refs, No Rules, Nobody walks unscathed. That's Blitz. Totally worth the money.

im really excited for this game, i cant wait to break some bones, Madden just gets more boring by the year imo, not much to do when you cant break the limits, Blitz = all limits broken

Get both if you can --Madden is pure football, and is fun for a while. When you are done there start playing Blitz II for some real fun smashmouth football.

Just ot Blitz this weekend but it is freaking awesome so far.

i have more fun playin blitz...madden gets old after a while

Madden 09 gets old after the first quarter when my scoreboard is 100-7 it gets pretty boring the difficulty is on all-pro doesn't change a thing

I personally like Madden better, but Blitz is by NO means a bad game! It's fun to crush some bones when you get frustrated playing Madden. :)

You missed out on Ten Yard Fight, Bill Walsh College Football, Tecmo Bowl, Super Playaction Football, Super Tecmo Bowl III (best!), and my personal favorite Madden, Madden NFL '97 (all the 8-bit and 16-bit Madden games were fun).

Not to mention a completely wild take on football, Jerry Glanville's Pigskin Footbrawl (you can find videos of this rugby-esque game on youtube if you search "Pigskin Footbrawl").

oh yeah 10 yard fight, 1 trick play and learn how to run on an angle, first that one then my close second classic football game is Mutant League Footbal. (I'm 27) I only had one game on my 3DO and it was Madden 95 I think.

well when you play Madden online its full of GLITCHES + CHEATING In Blitz II its already part of the game and I got the gm for 20$ on saturday way cheaper than madden

Get this game!   $17.99 used at EB Games and Gamestop.  (Yes I know same company).  I bought Madden and traded it in within a week.  No where near as good as the old ESPN 2K series.  Blitz is fun and action packed no hold barred football.  Plus the commentator is funny as hell impersonating Madden.

Get Blitz. I've played both.. The achivements are easier on Madden but that series lost me after '06 for the 360. Their game of next gen football doesn't please me. Blitz is simply more fun, and fun still wins out over realism anyday when it comes to gaming.

i wouldn't buy madden 09 now since madden 10 is right around the corner.

I changed the question as I have Madden 10, is Blitz 2 a great addition oder should I stick with Madden?

Blizt is still great for the price but if you wanna play online Madden would be much easier to deal with.
