Most retro games on the service were previously in compilations.  Sonic 1 and 2 were in basically every Genesis collection, Metal Slug had an anthology, and so on.  So it's certainly possible.  Give them some leaderboards and hard-as-balls achievements, and I'm in.

It'd be nice to see these games in Arcade with Achievements, but for anyone who doesn't have it should get Mega Man 15th Anniversary Collection (collects Mega Man 1-8 + 2 unreleased games + extra stuff) for the original X-Box. It's currently at $9.99 at Gamestop and other places (if you can find it), and a must buy if you're a huge Mega Man fan from back in the day and not too worried about cheevos. I like Mega Man 9, but I'd love to eventually see a game modeled after these classics in a remastered HD mode (ala Pac Man Championship Edition).

Sadly the Xbox port sucked....The Gamecube one is the best IMO....If you are a die hard fan and must play it now you could always grab a used Cube & the game @ Gamestop for $40....But hopefully we might see a updated collection disc....I know on my Wii V-Con they have Mega Man I, II, & III....So maybe one day XBLA might see the other titles but I think Campcom went with the Wii cause the Mega Man Fan Base and retro gamers in general are a much larger scale on that console.

I bought it recently and it sucks!The graphics are horrid!The backward compatibility on that game wasn't good.

That's really disappointing, because the PS2 version was perfect.  If you have a PS2, look for it.

Ah, so unreleased on home systems, but released in the arcades.  I thought NC2 meant the games were not released at all, or only in Japan...

MegaMan 2 and MegaMan 4 are my top favorites of the series too.  The bosses were the best- (AirMan, QuickMan, PharaohMan, DiveMan, etc.) and the music on both games are excellent- (especially the Dr. Wily stages 1&2 on MM2, and Dr. Cossack stages 3&4 on MM4.)
