I actually only have Project 8, It's a good game but I thought the challenges were really hard. What do you think is the best out of these three?

Skate technically.

I still love my Tony Hawk skate boarding games though, and I'd say Project 8 is the best.  Grahpics, gameplay and over all story and it was something innovative a Tony Hawk game did, proving ground had harsh reviews and it wasn't as fun.

That's what i'm talking about too.  I just mentioned skates name.  But yea as I said Project 8 is much better, I wouldn't suggest picking up Proving Ground, and I'm a huge Tony Hawk fan, but the game just didnt' do it for me and a lot of others.

What about American Wasteland was that any good?

IMO it was terrible.  Didn't get great reviews and felt stiff.

I enjoyed American Wasteland(PS2) and Project 8 a lot more than I did Proving Ground. I thought THAW's story was rather well done compared to the rest of the series, and the gameplay was solid, aside from a few nearly-impossible goals and the useless bikes. The "streaming" world was a bit disappointing, but it was still a nice environment. Project 8 was terrific. I don't think once during that game I actually felt like tossing my controller across the room, which I frequently feel like when playing other Tony Hawk games. I only played proving ground for a few hours, but it was rather mediocre compared to the others.

I don't know... proving grounds demo was bad. I bought the full game and had a blast. Lot's of challenging goals. You said project 8 gave you trouble so proving ground probably will too (I don't think PRO status is too hard to attain but sick gives you some hard-ens). The only thing I can say is just keep playing project 8 and try to 1k it. By that time you will be a veteran of hawks (or very close as those achievements push you to be good at the game - same with PG).

American wasteland on the other hand is extremely easy to complete. No challenge at all in my opinion but it's big in the online department. P8 is second with a few peeps then PG is like tumbleweed in the desert.

I think THP8 had great graphics,story and gameplay but THAW online was better, not sure if people still play now.

Yea Crusader a lot of my friends are always on THAW. It's still big. I'm surprised I usually play PG online and it's like 2-3 games tops. I went on P8 other night and there was absolutely loads. I'm gonna start playing p8 online. It's much harder to keep your combo's going on that one when. I've got used to the PG balance system lol

Do you know what really did my head in on MBU, the easter egg on the downhill level. OMG took about 100 tries to finally get it. I seen some guys who are insanely good. Did you ever play switchball? Not as fast as MBU but some genius puzzles and need some skill to do those.

Yea I'm stuck in the lava world. Getting gold on these are a pain. The levels get big as *** towards the end lol - 1 mistake kiss gold goodbye =(

i think that american wasteland was the best sice it was fun to customize your character also the whole graffiti thing (which i think is the best).

Gotta go with American Wasteland.  It was the silliest of all the TH games but it was very fun.  P8 is just too frustrating and never play Proving Ground.  As far my favorite Tony Hawk game, it would be THUG.  The storyline was awesome and game play was just fun.  Eric got what was coming to him!

Mine would be Project 8, nice easy game (joking). I liked PG a lot aswell some really nice hard challenges there for 360. Thaw was a bit to easy (didn't have to try). Then for back in the day either Pro Skater 2 or 4. Ollie the magic bum rules!
