SBK08 The MISSED win

I guess what im trying to say is that if SBK had been put out in okt07 it could really have filled a gap and probeble sold millions.Even on the 30 of may 08 the window was still open but on the 1 of august you really have to considere if you want to invest in a game whit poor online funktionalety(thats what I hear) that youll probeble not play for more then 2-3 months until MoToGP08 is out(okt/nov) and seriously I doubt you guys are going to sell many copies in the US if people have the choice of a 8ppl SBK and a 16ppl MoToGPHuh? [:^)]P.S.iv already preordered my copy because I belive in sekund chances and SBK deserve a breake tooWink [;)]

Hey, ReConSTrucDEAD!

Yeah, I'm having so much fun with MotoGP 08 that I probably won't bother with SBK unless the reviews are stellar. Your right, they really missed the window of opportunity here in the USA. Honestly, they shouldn't even release it now. With MotoGP 08 and all the other major titles that are due for release, what's the point? The economy isn't doing very well here and I'm sure that is effecting game sales too.

So, why don't you MotoGP 07 fans give 08 a try? Be ready though, because it's completely different... in a good way. I only recommend it for true GP fans. If you prefer realism over arcade-style racing, then you should be more than happy. I'm extremely picky about my games and IMO, MotoGP 08 delivers.

Not yet. That's what where talking about. It's been out in Europe since August I believe. Now that MotoGP 08 is out in both Europe and North America, SBK 08 will be an after thought to most gamers. I "might" pick it up when it comes out, but with the ammount of challenge and replayability that MotoGP 08 offers, it's going to be a hard sale. I stopped paying attention to SBK's release date. It's been all over the place.

By the way, what do you think of MotoGP 08? I'm loving it.

Hey Watchful! Man do I hate it when im right Angry [:@]SBK could have been so much more fun for everybody if it had been given one worldwide realease instead 3 difrent realease dates. That way the game  never had a very large group of followers at the same time. They first released the game around the 30may in Italy,Spain,France and Germany. That actually isent a very big group of people when it comes to GP-gaming and half of them probeble got bored and left before the rest of Europe even got it and in reality the game never really picked up.There where just never that many games going on and half the times I whould come in looking for a game I whouldent even be able to find a match to my liking(sim) and whould have to either do pussymode whit the rest of them or go into TT.Now that they have realeased GP08 I can only assume that there are even fewer games to choose from if any and should some poor american have the misfortune to get his hands on SBK and to run it in his xbox whit the hope of having a race I think he whould be very disapointed as he probeble whouldent find any other ppl than 3 other misfortunate americans in the same situationHuh? [:^)]Imo they have otherly failed! so thank god for MoToGP08!Atleast there's a game where we can all get together.Afterall games are more fun when U can actually play them whit someoneSmile [:)] GP08 rules!!

To make matters even worse, I hear that SBK 08 has been cancelled here in North America.Sad [:(] After hearing that it was slightly more realistic than MotoGP 08, I was actually thinking about giving it a try. Oh well... Like you said, atleast we have MotoGP 08. I've been having a blast with it.

I'm like you when it comes to simulation mode. We should have a fun time playing MotoGP 08 online. Whoever has the best connection should host. We don't need a full room. 6-8 people is plenty for good racing wihtout lag. The other night, we were playing with people from all over the globe and it worked fine.

It's growing on me. I have to get my '07 ways out and get used to '08...not used to the trigger throttle thing but its all good. I do think '07 is better altogether.

I have to work on a career bike to be competative online....be lookin. (DD)

Yeah, it's completely different. I'm glad you're able to enjoy it despite your love for the Climax game. 07 was Climax's best attempt. While it may be fun, which is important for any video game, it isn't nearly as realistic as MotoGP 08. The differences are fairly dramatic, but be aware that the Capcom/Milestone version is showing you the true side of motorcycle racing. Maybe next year, Milestone can flesh out the options a bit better. They nailed the gameplay IMO, but the save structure and online options need to be refined. Other than that, it's grade A in my book.

Well if U ever get the chance and do buy the game I could probeble be persueded into playing from time to time. There where quit a lot of things that made SBK08 a quit enjoyable simulation.(the size of the community was never one of them)IMO it had better wievs then GP08.It had things like tirewhear,bike/riderdamedge and a very high level of tunability that somehow left me feeling that maybe I could have done better so one of these days I deffinately plan to go back hopefully a wiser man.In some ways the game wasent bad at all and im deffinately looking forward for the 09 and cant wait to see where this is going(could be very, very good).Hopefully we will then get the first sign that Milestone has finally got it right regarding the onlineHuh? [:^)]BTW these last days I have mainly been playing RNK matches whit only a few people(having noobs comming in is such a hazzle if U know what I mean so we keep them limited)but im sure ill be playing some player matches whit some of my friends these next days and ill make sure to kick you an inv if we get a good game going.Feel free to send one my wayYes [Y]
