Hey, ReConSTrucDEAD!
Yeah, I'm having so much fun with MotoGP 08 that I probably won't bother with SBK unless the reviews are stellar. Your right, they really missed the window of opportunity here in the USA. Honestly, they shouldn't even release it now. With MotoGP 08 and all the other major titles that are due for release, what's the point? The economy isn't doing very well here and I'm sure that is effecting game sales too.
So, why don't you MotoGP 07 fans give 08 a try? Be ready though, because it's completely different... in a good way. I only recommend it for true GP fans. If you prefer realism over arcade-style racing, then you should be more than happy. I'm extremely picky about my games and IMO, MotoGP 08 delivers.
Not yet. That's what where talking about. It's been out in Europe since August I believe. Now that MotoGP 08 is out in both Europe and North America, SBK 08 will be an after thought to most gamers. I "might" pick it up when it comes out, but with the ammount of challenge and replayability that MotoGP 08 offers, it's going to be a hard sale. I stopped paying attention to SBK's release date. It's been all over the place.
By the way, what do you think of MotoGP 08? I'm loving it.
To make matters even worse, I hear that SBK 08 has been cancelled here in North America. After hearing that it was slightly more realistic than MotoGP 08, I was actually thinking about giving it a try. Oh well... Like you said, atleast we have MotoGP 08. I've been having a blast with it.
I'm like you when it comes to simulation mode. We should have a fun time playing MotoGP 08 online. Whoever has the best connection should host. We don't need a full room. 6-8 people is plenty for good racing wihtout lag. The other night, we were playing with people from all over the globe and it worked fine.

It's growing on me. I have to get my '07 ways out and get used to '08...not used to the trigger throttle thing but its all good. I do think '07 is better altogether.
I have to work on a career bike to be competative online....be lookin. (DD)
Yeah, it's completely different. I'm glad you're able to enjoy it despite your love for the Climax game. 07 was Climax's best attempt. While it may be fun, which is important for any video game, it isn't nearly as realistic as MotoGP 08. The differences are fairly dramatic, but be aware that the Capcom/Milestone version is showing you the true side of motorcycle racing. Maybe next year, Milestone can flesh out the options a bit better. They nailed the gameplay IMO, but the save structure and online options need to be refined. Other than that, it's grade A in my book.
