Send me a shipping label and I will ship my CE and receipt to you.  After which you can send me a check or money order for the money I wasted on this CE without its content. It is after all a defective product that is not complete.  The game has not been played although the package has been opened and the manual has been read.

Yes. A new one that also doen't contain the advertised bonus content, doesn't work very well (glitches and bugs...), is dissapointing in many ways (lack of armor and a mini map...) and is seriously short (you can finish all the main quests in about eight hours).


Things are a lot more like they used to be than they are now.

Have you even played the game? I can understand being mad if you have and somethings wrong. But if you don't even give it a chance, you really can't say much in this situation.

I don't know what stores you shop at, but most stores will not accept open games as a return.  Nor will they exchange an open product with missing items.  Further, at this point it is beyond the exchange period of most stores as well.  With Gamestop, 7 days exchange, Bestbuy 14 days exchange in my neck of the woods.  I unfortunately was a good loyal little sucker and thought Lionhead and Microsoft would actually step up to the plate and make good.  Silly me, honesty and morally good practices don't come from corporations.

Heres a thought, maybe play the damn game instead of wanting to return it and acting like a little girl. Sure we are all pissed about the missing content but you're not even giving the game a chance. I've been playing the game for a month and havn't experienced one single glitch. The shortness doesn't bother me as there are tons of stuff side stuff too do and complaining about short main quests is not a valid point because thats why side quests are there. The only thing wrong with the game is the co-op was not as promised but could easily be patched and Lionhead has already said something big is going to be announced for Fable 2 next week.

So how bout this, stop acting like a jackass and play game. You spent $60-70 on it and your not getting it back, might as well give one of the best games of '08 a chance.

we are not gonna just roll over and let this go. you can be my guest and do just that, but if someone pays for something, there is a reasonable time in which to deliver on that. it is coming up on 4 weeks, as we all know microsoft doesn't work on the weekend.

if anything we just want a solution that, heaven forbid, they communicate to the consumers that actually purchased the product. it has been 2+ weeks since we heard anything about the issue and here we are over the timeframe set out by microsoft themselves. we didn't say 'within 10 business days', they did!

That attitude is the very reason companies can get away with stealing from their customers.  Instead of sticking up for the consumers who are ripped off and making the company that did the crime accountable you choose to attack the consumer who got ripped off.  Here's a thought, maybe I would like to play the game that I paid for with the content I paid for.  I have not complained about glitches or the shortness of the main quest as I have not played the game at all yet.  I do know that extending game play is what side quests are for (my Oblivion play through has nearly 500 hours on the last save).

The intellectual prowess of name calling.  Such a masterful display of linguistic excellence.  Yes, you are right I probably will not get my money back, and I will probably not get the content I paid for.  That does not mean I should not at least make efforts to obtain that which has been paid for or a proper refund for product not received.

Finally, since you feel handy to give unsolicited advise please accept some from me.  Stay out of threads such as this if the threads for such issues and the people in them bother you so much.  Every such thread has been marked clearly enough that avoiding them for any being with more than an ounce of brain cells would be easy.

I think some of you misinterpret what these forums are for. They are for talking about the pros and cons of the games we play. That means people are going to speak of the cons. Some of you take it so personally when people speak up about what they don't like about the game even when it's done in a polite manner.

I don't think for one second that the OP is "crying" about a minor problem here. This is a legitimate gripe that should be brought up in these very forums.

Keep it up OP. Hopefully someone with some authority will respond eventually.

Sorry man Lionhead nor Microsoft are going to give you your money back. Not going to happen. Just take back to the store you got it and return it. But as far as those 2 companys are concerned they are not going to give your money back. A lot of us are not happy about what they took out but deal with it. If you want the soundtrack go to iTunes and buy it. Deal with it man. If you knew it didn't come witht the extra stuff then why did you buy it to begin with. Everyone who pre-oredered it got a call saying that the extra content was taking out.

not to point out a technicality , but here it goes; if you take it back to the store you bought if from, they send it to the publisher and the retail store gets reimbursed. therefore, the publisher is giving you your money back.

and if this continues on for much longer with no solution, there will be a class action for those who have bought the LE and didn't receive the content they paid for. just my opinion...

Wow, they called people to let them know the DLC card was not in the package?  Where was this since apparently Lionhead and Microsoft didn't know about this issue until after the consumers started getting and opening these packages.  As for returns, please read above where I addressed that option already.

they called pepole who pre oredered it the night before and told them everything that was taken out of the game and that you could pick up your copy the next day.

First of all Red Eagle LXIX - don't respond to fanboy trolls who are convinced Peter M is the second coming of Our Lord and Saviour (TM).

Try the Microsoft or Xbox live help line, explain your problems to them and they may be able to help, or offer you a refund or replacement. Maybe even give you some free Xbox live time? The more people that contact them about the state this game is in the less likely they are to pull this kind of crap again.

No one know about the missing DLC cards till after the fact.  I am not talking about the figure or the fate cards.  I am talking about the card with the codes for the DLC that was included in some but not all of the LE because half of the LEs shipped without the DLC cards by mistake according to Microsoft.

So you are saying stores called about the missing DLC cards before the consumers discovered it and before there was an admitted problem?  Or are you mistakenly referring to te content we already know was removed?

Again, read the forums.  People are upset (myself included) about the missing DLC cards that were supposed to be a part of the finalized trimmed down LCE.  Those downloadable content cards were only included in half the packages.  Thus, half the people who were supposed to get them, did not.  That is the complaint.  Stop trying to cloud the issue.
